Campaign Protips:

Depending on situation and individual, !=, =/=, and <> (and probably a few more) can all mean "does not equal".

Uh, how can you not know someone is talking to the Campaign npcs? I had no claymore icon.

This isn't like a normal mission.

Also, look at how much HP he cured. The Cure II was only for 30. Thats not exactly "Low" HP.

Also, if you're running from a mob, you're a dick(This one applies to every event in the game outside of kite tactics.) No ones subbing WAR. No ones going to voke it off you(Because WAR mains forget they have it.) Don't run, or die because no one could melee to get hate.

No, not really. I think I read that dying in Campaign doesn't lose xp but you do lose points. So I'm not gonna take a death so the rest of you silly people can hit it as I die and lose part of my points.

The problem with that is that you're going to die anyway, because while you're running, no ones gaining any emity to pull the mob off you. You have a better chance just standing there incase someone has TP, instead of making them lose it in all likeness

I saw the guy campaigning pretty much all night. I'm pretty sure he's familiar that people standing at the NPC are trying to swap out Tags.

That may be the case, but when you do a general flame saying "If you do this, you're a dick" and don't really bother explaining to the uninitiated what it is that's pissing you off and how they can avoid it, then you shouldn't be surprised when someone asks what you're talking about like I did.

Maybe. I've never done more than 1 campaign yet so I'm not sure how that is, but in beseiged running away saves my life.

Guess it depends on how many people are there.

Why would you run away in besieged? You don't lose anything by dying, so you're wasting time pointlessly.

Regardless of it being campaign, you're a dick curing anyone who is standing at an NPC. Like Curing someone crafting back before they fixed that.

Did you even bother asking him to stop before flaming him? I can see putting this up if you asked him to stop and he didn't but if you can't even be bothered to make sure it's intentional it doesn't really seem flameworthy...

But the two Cure III's were for 191. He was topping you off, any like stated before, maybe he was not familiar. Dynamis has been out forever yet people can still fuck up.

Speaking of dickitry (lol made up word) in campaign, how about all the people who sit around and complain about their npcs not being around cause of campaign actually do something to end the campaign?

I was chilling in GC the other day guiding some buddies to the map quest npc only to have a campaign start. now during that, there were 18 people total in the zone.

11 of those 18 were in the npc's room typing stuff like {campaign} {no thanks}.

Eventually i went to the npc, got a tag, and went down to find the mobs.

At this point i believe i was the only one with the sword icon there lol.

Eventually i saw the Ariesian caster npcs and got smited by a demon NM.

and hey guess what?!?! about 30 seconds after that the music stopped! (I had rr on and got up once the demon left only to hear silence)

So seriously...instead of just standing around moaning just go get a tag...use a rr earring or grab a friend who can raise (and preferably rr) and go fight. Worst thing that can happen is that you get ass raped by a demon and 4-5 elementals spamming bio 3. (but hey...no exp loss and after you get up you even GET exp from the tag npc. i personally got 150 for running around and dying afer 5 mins so good deal)

One thing that really ticked me off was in the necropolis. There were some people there talking about how they hate people who stand around during campaign doing nothing while I was the only one in the room with a sword by my name. (I was passing by looking for the mobs) Hypocrite, anyone?

So yea..thats it for my point.

oh and /rant off

Far too different of examples to even compare the two of them, besides as Skaw said already, he was campaigning all night. He knew what he was doing.

Imagine that you had 100 CC and were trying to make like a cursed dalm-1 or something, and you were down a few hundred HP. How would you react after like 4-5 times being cured, despite being painfully obvious what you were trying to do.

I'm not saying its a good flame by any stretch of the imagination, but people are being so silly with these "what ifs".

Yes, cuz spending 5 mins weakened isn't wasting time.

Do you not know how blms gain exp fastest in besieged? Aga a whole bunch of mobs. Run the fuck away. Rinse and repeat. Full points in 10 mins.

I personally thinks that Skaw is expecting players to know WAY to much. How can you expect someone to know what you are doing. Some things are obvious yes, other times not so much.

Asking someone to stop something should always be step one. If Skaw asked him to stop and the person kept doing it, then he has a valid flame.

Yes, it's WAY too much to expect people to know issues that have been in the game forever. Fuck off.

What I said was not a "what if." I said he should have asked the guy to stop before bothering with a flame.

Someone curing you when you're trying to craft a cursed dalmatica isn't comparable by any stretch of the imagination. First of all, it's pretty obvious when a person is crafting. Second, if you're stupid enough to try to craft in an area where people get xp for random curing without full hp, then you are kind of asking for it.

It's not necessarily "painfully obvious" what he was trying to do. Standing next to an npc in a new area of the game might seem obvious but it's not to the point that everyone will think it through and come to the right conclusion. Especially in an area where you get xp for curing. I haven't done campaign yet, but I know in beseiged I simply tab through everyone and cure randomly if someone is below 100% without ever even bothering to look up at the name. I likely wouldn't notice whether or not someone had a symbol by their name. This person may have been doing the same.

Exactly.
