Someone decided to lend a hand in campaign today.

Anyone else seen him around? This is my first.
 
Sometimes you see him around. You trade him a Testimony from any job, and he'll come help in that areas next campaign. Kinda cool. :D
 
Oh sweet. Saw a BST NPC there too, with two pets to boot. I like how their switching it up. The only thing I don't like, is the enemy forces you similar gear like the Royal Knights Shield. Unless there is a story behind them, like they were RKs but then corrupted or something.
 
Yeh there's lots more of others... like some giant fafnir type NPC, amongst other things. Check wiki for the full list. It's pretty cool.
 
I saw him about a month ago while I was Campaigning in Ronfaure...I thought it was hilarious, watchin the old man (can I call him that, since it's the past?) fight alongside an army. Needless to say, lots of SSs were taken of me and Maat duoing Orcs; I showed them to a friend who quit the game, and he was confused as hell. :biggrin:
 
It's just nice seeing him beat up on someone else for a change.

The funniest part of WoG is that even in the past... Maat is still old.

Oh, so me trading like 8 testimonies actually worked? -_- God I had so many of them sitting in my MH for the longest time.. and you can't even trade them all at once, you can only trade him one per game day, or when he gets back from a campaign battle... old bastard is as annoying in the past as he is in the present if not moreso.

Actually you have to zone between each trading. Pretty much the same as all the recruiting requirements for Freelances.

Oh, right. Yeah.. I think I remember actually testing to see if that would allow me to trade another after a while. I eventually just gave up trading a good portion of my testimonies and dropping them, because I despised having to rezone and climb that mountain all over again.
 
where is maat in the past? and can we get into jeuno in the past yet?

I'm not sure which nation currently has Maat as a freelance, but when he's not allied with anyone, I'm think he hangs out on that hill in Gustaberg (S). As for Jeuno... Unless SE does something brand new and add a zone data with an update patch we won't be visiting Jeuno in the past except by cutscenes.

(There's already a quest that takes you to the past versions Altepa Desert, Zi'Tah and all the way to sky, but only in cutscenes unfortunately.)

What quest? Sky shouldn't be open in the past because the player opened it in the present.
