Best movie ever, followed by 300.
its vaporware. they scrapped the project last year if i remember correctly. i think maybe *some* principal photography was shot.
I think it's the part where CourierCarrie kills everything in the zone in one shot.
I remember when Leaping Lizzy and the Valkurm Emperor's drops were first made Rare/Ex. Vang was in my linkshell at the time, and as soon as he got his, he spent the next several hours killing those NMs to keep anyone else from replacing theirs.
He made a careful point to wear the Rare/Ex versions while he was hunting, and just about died laughing whenever the inevitable "WTF?!?!?!!?" came when someone checked him. It took him a while to grow bored of it. It wasn't even an issue of him just doing something to kill time; the whole point of the task (to him, at least) was to literally prevent others from getting the drop ... perhaps because the two NM's (and Argus) used to be a primary source of income for him, and his bitterness about the change in general wasn't something he kept secret.
So, he exacted his revenge on an unsuspecting n00b public, and he had a ball. I feel guilty for laughing at it, even in a "Oh my God, is he really doing that?" way ... but Vang has that effect on people. You can literally feel your sense of morality draining away as you spend time around him. It was undoubtedly cruel and malevolent, but some of the reactions WERE pretty funny.
So, just to let everyone know, there ARE people around who get their jollies this way.
Speaking for myself, there is that whole "instinct" factor to fight. If you happen to have the insane luck to see a notorious monster spawn right in front of you while you happen to be passing through, the first impulse that surges through your keyboard fingers is to CLAIM ... higher brain functions that would lead one to consider the fact that one already has the drop may not come into play, expecially when fatigue is a factor.
Of course, we're talking about people that actually sit there and make an effort to camp, so a degree of maliciousness is definitely at the heart of it all.
(one of these guys had an HQ uncursed god hands piece, for crying out loud) why not just shell out the measley 400k to buy the non r/ex boots?
the other night when I was camping VE I came across a 56 thf/nin WEARING the fucking empress pin, who was camping him, and also claimed him out from underneath me...
it, he Yes. He was WEARING the rare/ex pin and still camping it. WTF? is all I could think. It was very frustrating.
yeah i came across this with ve too with some obvious gs ninja...
he wasnt in party or anything but still insisted on camping it. maybe he was out to sell it but, but noone else was there camping it before i turned up and he never proposed doing this.
in the end i got claim but no DORP! so im still way confused >.<
Smoked about 6 people last night to LL, lol@noobs with no WS.
Edit: I'll be there again =/
LOL YOU IS COOL
I'm not stupid. If you show up without at least WS to VE or LL you will be lucky to even see it.
When I killed VE on Meezschrst it popped in the far west. There was a 75 PLD there. I went afk after kill for about 20 min, came back and started running to OP. The PLD was still killing PHs like an idiot. Last night my CC was a 75 RNG/THF who was the only one who saw me kill. Had he not been there, no one would of known because he lead them to me.
Just a waste of time if you ask me.
I didn't have WS for any of my claims.
You obviously weren't getting claims when this thread popped up or you wouldn't be upset about who your competition was. 9/10 the guy with WS is going to swoop on these two NMs if he has half a brain.
