Can anyone help me with FFAssist or a shadow counter?

I honestly don't care what's going to happen by posting this, so..

Try out a windower add-on called Precognition. You can find it on their site easily, it is a very simple addon that just displays a number in the top left corner of your window, displaying the shadows you have left.

There is an error sometimes in that it doesn't always record attacks that take multiple shadows, but it's very helpful

Y'know, I tried Precognition once, but its so buggy sometimes that I found it easier to just dumb down my filters and count shadows myself. It'd say 0 when I had 2, and 255 when I had 0. Just not accurate enough to base my tanking off of.

Can you count to 4? Then you can play Ninja!

I agree. It's not hard to count as it scrolls in your chat log...

yeah, change the evade color to something that stands out. Very helpful, and more so than any plugin imo. The only problem is getting distracted while chatting and ending up with shadows down, lol. But that can happen no matter what you do.

Yea. Personally I filter everything except for:
My attacks / abilities / evaded attacks / dmg taken...this is something I learned from WAR long long ago, unless you really have a need for something to be seen, hide it. I'd hide my own attacks too, but frankly my e-peen won't let me D:

God gave me 10 fingers. Thankfully, I can play FFXI with 6 and still use the other 4 to count; but really the only stuff out there is buggy at best. Changing the chat log colors is a good suggestion by Sharpe. As for the chat log filters, I tell you what. As a white mage, I have a ton of stuff coming through so I can see what's going on and react accordingly. Then, on Ninja i need to flip shit around and it's a serious pain in the ass.

Just do as every one else says change the color of the text for attacks you evade. I personaly have my to a bright orange color and never miss it.

That's what I do. My evades are light purple.
