Can someone help me, I need some info!

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this.
I'm trying to get in touch with this fellow player but we haven't talked to each other in a while. I've been sending this guy some tells and I know he's been getting them since I'm pretty sure he hasn't /blisted me. I havent gotten any messages saying this person has you blocked or anything so...

For these past few days I know he's being controlled because he was in FeiYin one day and Den of Rancor the other day. Someone is moving him around...I just don't know if its him or some other person now.
I've been trying to talk to him when I see his character on but I haven't gotten any responses yet.

I'm wondering if the character got placed under another person's care or is accessed by some other people or something because he would respond to my /tell's if it was him.
So would anybody be able to tell me what's up with him?

I did some stuff with Reynard last night. He's definitely there, he was tanking. Didn't talk much though iirc, but I was watching the log in whm mode so I may have missed some chat.

I'd check with Faule, she leads his social.

It may but all I want to know if its the Reynard I know still or if it's someone else now. I need to ask him a favor and it would mean nothing if it isn't him really.

If I know if its still the Reynard that I know or not, then I will have a sense of closure and will know where to go from there.

I havent gotten any messages saying this person has you blocked or anything so...

If someone has you on their blacklist, you will get no notification of it. It will not say anything to tell you the message has not been recieved. If you had blacklisted him and tried sending him tells, you would get a notification saying you cannot send tells to someone on your BL, but it doesn't work in reverse. The only way to know for sure if you are blacklisted is if the person in question tells you.

If a person has you Blisted it won't notify you about it if you're trying to /t them, but if you two are friends or you never did anything to have this person /blist you, then it could possibly be someone else.

Did you try sending this person a message if they're on your flist?

Former LS mater Alvaster had someone take control of his character once.

How? I dunno really, but Im just saying the only way could have been him downloading windower or some other FFXI thing, and a keylogger came packed in. Dont think people just hand their ID's out and stuff.

Ah...I didn't know about that. I have no recollection as to if I had done anything to make him /blist me so I think I'm in the safe area for now...

Did you try sending this person a message if they're on your flist?

That I have not done since he's not on my flist. I've known him on and off and we'd say hi to each other if we see each other in game and have a bit of a chit-chat but that's about it.
As far as I know, we're on civil terms so I don't know why he hasn't responded
