Cuteness doesn't save you when another species survival is at hand. You eat lamb, don't you? Plenty of people find sheep cute. Rabbits are another one.

No, I don't eat lamb. Funny you mention that, I always say "I don't eat cute animals". I don't eat rabbit either. Actually, my policy is "If I can't kill it, I don't eat it".

Fish. Beef. Veal. Venison.. somebody somewhere is going to find an animal that you eat is cute.
 
Skaw: I just watched that video... Wow. He does a really good job narrating it too, but he usually does from what I've seen.
 
I don't understand why people who survive stuff like that get labeled uber lucky and whatnot. Lucky people have their planes not crash. Lucky people don't get drifted off on a block of ice. Imo if you survive some random accidents like that, you're not lucky. You're just not completely unlucky.

no reservations is my favorite show on food tv, anthony bourdain is awesome!

they may be eating a "cute" seal but they are doing it for survival and they make sure nearly every part of the animal has a use.

it may look barbaric, but really when you think about all the animals that die to fill our plates and how much of each animal goes to waste, they could easily call US the barbaric ones.

If the guy lives up here... seal might be the only thing his family can eat in the winter. I don't blame him at all.
