Cannon Party

Yeah..

I was in a cannon party with:

Yoshindor, Neche, Moch, Pimptaru, Shapatho(Blm,Rdm,Blm,Blm,Brd)

And if it weren't for some jackass trying to MPK us(he did do it once, then the GM got him :D )..Anyways, we were killing those things fine..

Moch the little bastard took hate off me once in a while..But I still kept hate through most of it..He mostly took hate off me for chain5..

That was seriously the most fun I've had in an xp party to date.
 
Umm Krisy...in a pinch...I can about take a mob down from half life by myself. Side/Slug, Barrage, EES, Side/Slug. Anything but a crab and its toast. That is about half life on most mobs. More on some. You throw in 4 Rng with a Brd? Ouch. Have the Rangers alternate Barrages so two go in one fight, 2 in the next, skip a round for timer, maybe 2 depending on how long a fight takes. You are looking at 4 Sidewinders/Slugshots a battle, maybe 2 in the fights with no Barrage, and those are gonna go super fast. I am really interested in trying it. Specially when ONE of those Rangers is gonna go Xbow for acids....mmmmm. Who needs a Blm!

exactly. It'd be really amazing to have that much damage. You wont even need a blm. RDM is just there for cure, haste, and nuke ^^. I would love to try this, its just so hard to get the needed members :-\

Your assuming all for arrows on all 4 barrages hit, and your assuming every weapon skill hits with dead accuracy . . I've seen ranger WS miss with eagle eye shot . . Magic does not miss!, on top of reistance is for gimps, and for lazy RDM's

Your assuming all for arrows on all 4 barrages hit, and your assuming every weapon skill hits with dead accuracy . . I've seen ranger WS miss with eagle eye shot . . Magic does not miss!, on top of reistance is for gimps, and for lazy RDM's

It does not hit every momment, but it stil hits the majority of the time (if you have a skilled player w/ good gear). It still is an amazing cannon pt in my opinion.

Works quite well. I did it once as the brd. Just doubled up minuet for the rngs. We even did it against crabs in kuftal no less. Averaged chain 6-7 consistently. Most definitly works well. :D
 
There is an old saying... You can never have to many rangers... You can take almost person in your PT and replace them with a RNG and things will be better.

Thats the Key point and words there isn't it, "if" and "skilled player" not only is the likely hood of finding the number of players who can afford to do this on a regular basis, but players who actually know what they are doing and are not complete gimps, soo minscuel. If you take all these factors into acount this type of party is just not practical, and 90 % of the time would make for slow kills.
Makeing the black mage option much more practical, also lets just use my static as an example, BLM x4 Bizarard 3 x4 = 2400 waterga 3 x4 = 3200 and there goes the mob constant chain 5 and that doesn't even tap into our more powerfull spells like thunder 3 or aerogga 3 we can easily out do RNG's Aeroga 3 x4 = 4400, we even get chain 6 every now and again ^^
So just chew on that

Blm blm blm rdm brd rng im told to be "THE" set up.
Blm's casts Blink/stoneskin at the start of everybattle and spam the most Mana effcient, and powerful spell at their command.
Rdm's Refresh the mages, is main healer, and Gravties the monster.
Brd is also a healer as well as playing MP songs and a Rng acc+ for the rng.
Rng pulls, W/S and goes find a new mob to pull. That is what i was told anyway :3
 
its true that certain arangements for cannon pties r much better then others but u always got to take in effect that the players behind the characters have a lot to do w/ how well the pt is doing

last night i had a nice cannon pt that i didnt even realize was a cannon pt ; ;

pld/war mnk/sam sam/war rdm/blm whm/blm smn/whm(me)

the mnk and sam did 2 SCs per fight right after each other did over 1,000 dmg w/ SC and rdm burst and did around 1,500dmg when i was able to cast shiva b4 they went... they obviously didnt wait on me so i had to be quick ; ; and after the 2 SCs the mob went from 90% to 10% HP ^_^

so like all jobs can suck or be awesome... it all depends on set up of pt n player behind the character... GL to all those ppl out there seeking Cannon pties <(' . ')>
