Can't connect.

I've been trying for an hour now to get online. I read my manual word for word and I'm using a wireless broadband internet Calbe roader (sp?). I've gotten to the part where I have to type in a password or key to unlock a little lock on my screen to get internet access.
I also checked at the Nintendo online helpline and it said to type in a code on my wireless roader. There was about 4 codes.

2 were something like this: SFG7364RG

then 2 were like this: 949999 - DG234D

They're not the real ones for saftey reasons, but I'm soo stuck and I just got this new points card. ; ;
I honestly tried everything I could, being horrable with computers doesn't help either. Thanks for anything you can offer.

P.S. I know this may be in the wrong section, I wasn't sure if it should go here, or the Wii faulty thread.

Shouldn't have to enter a code into your router, assuming "roader = router". If your home has a wireless connection, the reason you get a lock at that point, on your Wii, is because you need to enter your wireless network's WEP, it keeps people that do not know the password from leeching your connection. How to get this password? I can't help you there, I set mine so I remember it. If your home's network was done by professionals, they should have it on file, call them. All else fails, log into your router and re-set it to default settings and start over.
