From lv.20 to lv.70 there is never any tank out there anymore. >.< tank only pop once per 3 days.
alway lack of tank, lack of refresher as well.

SE really need to do something this, is sooo frustrating to seek for 7+ freaking hours without invite, can't even make party if i wanted to, NEVER a tank out there /angry

That's too bad.

I've the same problem.

Go make an XP static, or poll people who moved from other servers about their experience and see if it's worth moving. ;)

It's not SE's problem, there's nothing they can do to fix it. The problem is the PLAYERS. People don't want to play tank jobs, just like they don't want to play healer/support; those who do have already leveled the job to 75.

I'm getting tired of people blaming the wrong source for this problem; blame the players, not the company who has absolutely no control over what jobs you level and when.

I'm not blaming SE, i'm just saying, i want SE try to fix the problem that players are creating.

Let's get the pld to tank!

Nah, pld's suck, slow xp, etc., etc.

Let's get the nin to tank!

Nah, nin's suck, can't hold hate, probably cheap, etc., etc.

Let's get the war to tank!

Nah, war's suck, mp sponges, no tanking gear, etc., etc.

Yup, it's the tanking classes fault

I know how you feel, but thats just how it is... Wait til WotG comes out to do your 'new job leveling.' ToAU's little 1-75 phase has run dry.

After WotG, jobs will be plentiful again, and youll be able to lv your wanted jobs much faster.

i have main tanked on samurai in the last 4 parties that i have been in and its not too bad. perhaps samurai dual tanking is the wave of the future.

Could very easily work, and would also remove the need of a true tank in lower lv pt's, which opens a spot for another DD/support job, which means faster exp

These days, true tanks are only tools for end game... But if you dont have one already leveled, then you most likely never will, lol

How?

How could they possibly fix that fact that some players don't want to play certain jobs? The only way to do that would be to change those jobs so they're like everything else and that'd completely remove the purpose of the jobs in the first place. There is no "fix" that SE could do for something that they have absolutely no control over.

is gonna be even worst, if WoTG only release dancer job, you gonna see like 80% of the seeker are dancer, you will see dancer cannon.

SE need to create something that don't rely on tank to to obtain exp.

Repeatable quest (not escort npc and have to wait whole real life weak crap) will be nice that give little exp once per game day by doing easy/diffcult task npc requested (like in Guild War).

but as for now, if there is no pl, or no tank, no refresh, no one going anywhere -.-

Level BST then.

thats only 1 of the (3?)+ jobs that are going to be released, though

Just saying you should lvl a solojob like BST is not really a solution for the problem I think. Its really annoying that often lately... unballanced PTs etc. Today there was a BLM shouting for a PT and what did the people reply? He shall solo to 75.

SE Propaganda, as shown at FanFest 2007!!!

"The only way to beat the Absolute Virtue is with a Paladin tank."

This is dead on, SE could make a million tanking classes and give them a world of cool abilities but if people wont play them then nothing gets fixed.

Even if there was a desire to play them the skewed ratios of job types hurts xp also.

theres 2 viable tank jobs, 2 refreshers, 1 refresher/healer, 1 healer, that leaves 12 other jobs to compete for DD slots.... Imagine if all jobs got equal play, and you assume standard tank/support/healer/dd/dd/dd setup. You would have 66% of the gaming community competeing for 50% of all spots, and this with some generous assumptions.

It is a problem, and i dont think its beyond being fixed. Maybe they could improve NPCs AI to make them acceptable fill-ins while waiting for PCs to pop. The only issue then is to make sure that a PC is always a better option than an NPC.

A better seeking system could also be employed to let people advertise an open party slot without having to spam /sea, so players on any job can check and see if one of their other jobs is needed.

These are crude ideas, and im sure they arent original, but i think it could save the game or at least increase its longevity a few more years.

Here is the fix! Invite me 69 PLD! Gimme da xp!

No, it isn't. It's impatience. Don't want slow EXP, then suck up the possibility of dying - Grab a Ninja and quit being a fucking pussy. Want to be a pussy? Then grab the PLD and bite the bullet that EXP isn't going to be as good, but atleast it'll be safer.

Stalwart Shield is pretty Beastly as a tank. The fault with NPCs is the lack of boosting their stats. That, and the inability to cast party-only spells on them. Spider Web/Dia/Bio? You're SOL.
