Capped parry on Thief.

Brian, you're so sexy. So you did the mandy thing in the tree for quick skill ups? Considered doing it...but just seems soooo boring. /sigh at my 194 base parry skill ><

I kind of skipped over mandies in the tree. Went from orcs to mandies in den of rancor. I tried mandies in the tree but they were a little low for post 250+.
And yes, it was uber boring. It was a lesson in frustration and boredom but i'm glad it's over with. And... 194 skill is pretty high especially for a Samurai. At that level you should get a decent parrying rate.

I might try mandys in den once i lvl up rdm sub, -40% phy. dmg taken plus phalanx should bring their attacks to next to nothing. Sea has been huge for skill ups in the 190's range, attack pretty fast and are relatively accurate...just wish parrying skill up wasnt so damn random. 2 skill in one day, .5 the next two weeks.

Yea.. those things are so good at it haha. You should go duo anicent goob with your NPC, (be it Cowbox or ur real npc) with 2x parrying knives and see if you can out last him. Would be a hell of a fight!!

On a side note.... never seen Brian posts here... i guess he cant play FFXI AT WORK!! hurts.......

How exactly would the thf be stupid enough to try and sneak attack when he already has enough hate for the wyrm to attack him? (you can only get spike tail if you grab hate from behind)
