Making this thread because I want to see more WHM's with them. ; ;

This item is too sexy to leave alone. It makes 24% Haste so easy to get even with limited gil.

12 second Haste Recast.

2 second -na recast.

9 second Erase Recast.

6 second Blinda Recast.

Capricorn Staff - 5%
Walhara Turban - 5%
Blessed Mitts - 5%
Goliard Saio - 4%
Blessed Trousers - 3%
Blessed Pump - 2%

Total 24% w/o sacrificing much.

EDIT: And if you do have mass gil, you can upgrade to 26% haste with HQ Blessed Hands/Legs.

I know the cap is 25%.

The point is you can get almost to capped haste very comfortably w/o losing much of anything.

Hence my edit about HQ Blessed where I decided to mention HQ edit. But the recasts are the numbers with JUST 24% haste.

I've had my Capricorn Staff for awhile, and always wondered why I see very few WHM's wielding them because I love mine. So I figured maybe it was the fact that they didn't know about it.

So I am making this post.

i should get it to cap haste on monk.>.>

Never even seen this staff before, intresting. To bad people don't even do those KSNM often.

The ":P" signified the fact he knew already and was infact joking.

Gotta be you, since haste has no effect on JA's.

Just wanted to be sure, thanks.

Edit, ontopicish! (shocking I know) It's possible the reason you don't see more people using this is because they use Spellcast or w/e the plugin is that allows you to equip different gear for different % of the spell. It doesn't need to be equipped 100% of the time during the spell.

Hmmm.. you're right, I should take a look at this staff.

Until I get blessed+1 synthed this is a good deal for getting to haste cap.
You forgot to add the free Swift Belt into your equation though, making it 28% (IE beyond the cap) making you able to equip Rostrum pumps and still stay capped for another -2% on your recast from the fast cast.

Nope, I didn't forget Swift Belt on purpose, I omitted it because I prefer to main my waist piece, now more than ever with the acquisition of Cleric's Belt. ^_^

So 5% haste > Cure potency +10%? o.o

For Haste, -na, erase, regen and anything you don't need an elemental stave to enhance, yes..it is.

Try looking outside the box, Crumpet. WHM is more than just a Cure spell. Even moreso after this update.

Well, the extra MP and MND is nice up to a point where it's needed.
However even in my haste gear I still hover at 900~ MP depending on subjob.

Haste and Regen both have a set duration and potency so I'd rather cap my haste and add in 2 more fast cast items (Loq. earring + Rostrum Pumps) to reduce the recast time a bit more.
Same goes for -na spells, erase and later on Esuna.

From what I've seen on Poisona/Paralyna/Silena, etc. 2 sec recast is just epic. 2 seconds is just low enough that the recast is already up by the time the spell is finished casting, allowing me to cast the next -na without waiting on recast. If my recast is 3 seconds I actually have to hang there for 1 second before I can recast the next -na.

Which is very nice for things that AoE Paralyze, Silence, Poison, etc.

True, but Blindna and Cursna have a 10 second recast.

It may not say much now but back in the era of KRT mnk burns with those spells having a recast like that blowed bigtime.
Since then I tend to haste every spell up that doesn't rely on stats or skill.

Yeah, those spells kinda suck on recast. But, with the same haste I can get them down to 6 seconds. Which, at least helps a little.
