Captured American Soldier

Whats going on here is Iraqi's or someone sent the first picture to the news. The news instantly picked up the story without investigating. That story was supplied by the Associated Press which supplies most the newspapers in America with a lot of their stories. The picture of the soldier is actually a picture of a figurine made to look like an America soldier. A total hoax. I find it funny.

No it's not because it still has it's legs...

Nobody can resist pulling of the Joe's legs

Yep, a buff, it was on the news today on nearly every channel. Amazing how desperate they've become.

~I wonder what you weird Kerry-Supporters think now =P.

that's just sad.. on many many levels

Someone may yell at me for this but umm...

I know men that did crazy things and had horrific experiences in the gulf war and while on numerous other assignments between then and the Iraq war.

They're really not okay now, I mean, nightmares, night terrors, anxiety issues, phobias....It's funny to me that the media releases some stupid mocked up picture and we all joke and laugh about how we're wining this war and blah blah blah...while at the same time, I'll spend my time reading a blog and chatting on the phone with a friend that WAS a POW and yeah...

Every soldier I've talked to that has actually pulled a trigger agrees - it changes you, and no one tells you how to deal with it. Despite the media attention, the reality is that war is ugly - and none of us have a clue what's going on over there.

Disclaimer: This isn't a pro- or con- statement regarding our involvement there, just a bit of reality.

I am just glad my bro is coming back in 4 months i dont care what anyone thinks of the war he is a hero. ...and yeah that looks fack i think i could do better.

Eh... I don't use this thing much but hope I hit the qoute thingy there right. Jezza's right... I'm totally going to yell at her when I get a chance j/k

Honestly while any experience bad enough can permanently change a person(I'm politically correct today) it's important to remember they can still live a fairly normal life. Yea... it'll hit its bad moments, the important thing to remember though is they need a little assistance here and there. Not in form of pills or therapy but hell just a few good friends to watch the stumbling blocks.

XD thats pretty good, but I don't think the army/navy/ whateva is goina take any chances..

My dad used to be in iraq..now hes in Afganistan @_@

Well I can tell you that yes it does change you. Regardless of whether or not you know for sure it was your shot that killed that person, you think about it every waking second of everyday. You see it in your sleep, and it screws with your head. I have done 2 tours in the Middle East now and it is not fun. Is it a joke? I think not. Could be but what would be the benifit? Who is sick enough to find comedy behind this? Seriously.
