I was thinking of bringing my "Thursday Static for Fun" there tonight and exp of Flytraps. I like the North part cause you can access it from Sandy and there are some good camping spot in the tunnel. Plus, there is hardly never anyone there.

I red flytraps are 18-22 in level, non-linking. Other mobs there that might aggro are Orcs and skeletons at night. Don't think there are tigers in the Northern part. Maybe the occasionnal elementals as well.

Our level is 14 accross the board. Has anyone ever tried to level there at 14-15? The only time I was there was with DRK. Is it doable or am I bringing my party to certain death?

Any input or experience would be apprciated :)

not many ppl experiance CoP areas much, i have no idea... please post back with details if you give it a try....

another alternative to the dunes, :o

I leveled there as a BST from about 16-19. I can't give you information on what the xp will be like for a 14 party, but I can let you know what the terrain is like.

If the beetles, funguars, and orcs are giving good xp, then you can camp the tunnel right by the zone. If flytraps are your target though, then there's a safe camp by the ferry dock that would be much closer, and you could hit pugils from there too. Only aggro mobs in that part of the zone are the orcs and the occasional bomb. No skeletons, no tigers. I never saw an elemental either, and I was there for hours upon hours.

This area is VERY popular with Beastmasters.. I was there this afternoon and there were 11 people in the area, half being BST's. I cannot speak for the the lower level area, but the zone by Jugner has the higher level mobs. DC-Even to me @ 31.

Good luck, let us know how it goes! :D

I can confirm that ele's do pop there (usually thunder with an occasional water). Ive farmed there when I needed some beetle jaws for bonecraft, and I can tell you that the flytraps seem to have a HP count than the beetles or orcs. The leafs NPC for 1200 gil though. :D

Thanks for the reply. I can confirm to that elemental spawn in the Northern part of Carpenter's Landing. I've killed 2 water and one thunder there, but always in the corner, at your right when you exit the tunnel.

Pulling was my concern as well, as Orcs seems to spawn close to the tunnel, so to go and get flytraps, the THF will probably have to go through them, which will surely cause some unfortunate death.

I like the idea of camping on the dock, I did not even think about it. Lots of flytraps and beetles if needed around. I might go an reckon the place a bit more before the party log.

I'll definately let you know how it goes. And while on the subject of new leveling areas, this idea came from our LS forum, when someone posted this link:

It's in japaneese or chineese, but ver simple. Just enter the level of the highest person in the party and press the right button. You can pretty much figure out where are the mobs the suggest.

There are 2 ele spawns. One is down near the water by where the flytraps are.
