There is a new XBL Arcade game out now for all you Vampire hunting people out There. Castlvania Harony of Dispair is alot of fun from my perpective. Its a 2d side scroller but deffinatly check it out

I cant do a lot on the internet at work so i cant make this a super fancy post. But if your intrested Google Castlevania HD, and that should get you were you need.

I saw this game yesterday and thought it looked awesome. I will def be picking it up soon.

Just a warning, this game is pretty grindy. The only way you're going to boost Charlotte up is by playing Single Player, no one is going to wait around while you absorb spells in a multiplayer game. Hardest character to advance truthfully. On the other hand, the only character with a heal spell worth a damn and she gets ridiculously powerful at max spell levels, since they somewhat synergize off each other.

The other 4 get better by simply pounding on dudes, or opening boss chests. with a slight exception for Shanoa, who somewhat suffers the Charlotte problem, but no where near as bad.

It's still very fun however, you just need patience to get more attacks/equipment.

I'm always up for a game if I'm on, add me if you wanna play. I loves me some Castlevania.

I read the description of this and was happy. Then I read it again. Someone confirm for me, there is no local multiplayer is there?

Q: Is there offline multiplayer for this game?
My brother still has my 360, but I figure if it can be played offline with two people then I'll buy it on a buddy's 360 and we'll play it together.

If this wasn't an Xbox360 exclusive, it would totally and completely be kick ass. But since this is a 360 only thing, fucking blows.

I would totally get this if it were on the PSN or even the Wii, since I own those systems. Fucking Microsoft, I'm never getting a 360 unless I win a free one.

And I -believe- it has both offline and online multiplayer. I'll have to ask a friend of mine who's got it and has been playing it recently.

im not sure ive never tried to do a local multi player,

ON a diffrent note how badass would it be if they made a MegaMan game like this?

That would be pretty boss, but It'd have to be a 2D Mega Man X game, and then perhaps add classic Mega Man and maybe even Proto and/or Bass. MMX series had the best look (imo) combined with the music, and had more playable heroes with different play styles. That I'd pay for.

I loved the MMX series ... at least the ones that came before MMX7. X7 & X8 were just ... idk "wrong" is what comes to mind. I honestly hope they take the path that megaman has taken, making a sequel and going back to their roots.

On Topic: WTF! I'm usually really good at castlevania games, but this one so far as just been a pain in my ass. Can't even beat the first level yet (number of attempts: 2). Seems like it's got potential, though I don't like that there's a time limit on the levels ; ;

The levels are really tough at 1st. but once you start getting more spells and equipment, you just start wrecking things.. I ussually play as Charlette and omg i can destroy things so easily with Demonseed, Ice Needles and Peircing beam.. but Charlette is slightly overpowered and the only one with a substantial party heal. Until Marie is released through DLC

My Charlotte is almost finished. Just need 8 ranks of Hell Fire and Sickle Moon, 7 Ranks of Deathscythe, and to actually learn and rank up Charm to finish her off. :(

Hellfire is hard to learn apparently i was fighting dracula for 20 minutes last night phase one and couldnt learn anything with 22 luck.

Also is Dark Inferno and hellfire the same move? I know it is for Alucard but what about Charlette

Dark Inferno is a different move, making Dracula Phase 1 and the Witches the only two enemies with two moves Charlotte can learn. Dark Inferno are the balls of energy, Hell Fire is the multiple fireballs.

Technically Dracula Phase 2 has one too, but it's Ghost Chaser, which you can learn fro Dullahan as well. Phase 2 Drac just uses them in volleys, giving you a higher chance at learning.

Charlotte can learn:

Acidic Bubbles: From the Gargoyle Dogs.
Dark Inferno: Dracula Phase 1.*1
Death Scythe: Death.*2
Demon Seed: Man-eating Plants.
Energy Flow: Witches.*1
Featherblades: Harpies.
Fireball: Bone Pillar.
Flame Shot: Fire Demons.
Ghost Chaser: Dullahan, Dracula Phase 2.
Heal: Witch.*1
Hellfire: Dracula Phase 1*1
Ice Fang: Sea Demon
Ice Needle: Frozen Shade
Nightmare: Malachi
Piercing Beam: Nova Skeleton
Poison Spores: Moldy Corpse
Raging Fire: Skittle Bones, Minotaurs, White Dragons. Tough to learn from Skittle Bones since they move around while using it.
Sickle Moon: Imps
Splash Needle: Merman
Summon Gunman: Skeletal Gunmen. Bind their bullets they shoot, even though you can't see them, it'll still count it.
Summon Skeleton: Skeletons
Thunderbolt: Thunder Demon

Every spell you absorb helps boost up Charlottes INT and ATK, meaning more physical and magic damage/healing power.

*1 Even though they use two different spells, you can only learn one per enemy, so only try to get what you want/need, rather than both at the same time.
*2 Either from him flying around harassing you before the boss fight, or during. Either works, but it still counts as learning it from the same Death, so only one chance per run of Chapter 5. On the other hand, this is good for just farming it, because you can run to the clocktower, which is basically the next area after the spawn hallways, learn it, then jump on spikes to die to save.

Basically, I run around with Flame Shot as B, Energy Flow as Up+B, Piercing Beam as Forward+B, and Heal as Down+B, unless I'm doing Chapter 2, 4, or 6. Then I replace Piercing Beam with Deathscythe for shotgunning Puppets going in to Iron Maidens, racking up fast damage on Brauner before he starts doing Blood Arts, and taking down Final Guards fast.
