Ok I was pting in Vakurm Dunes and one of my members was Catgirl. SHe was level 9 drk/war nd wasnt getting enough exp cause of our level gap. We told her to please go back to where ever and solo her job to 10 so she can pt. She got really bitchy and left

So i sent her a tell
"Im sorry, but you really gotta level up wherever then come back"
"Shut up"
"wtf? I'm trying to help you"
"SHUT UP!!"
"look, im sorry but you cant friggin pt here! You gotta level up first!
"SHUT UP I DONT NEED YOUR HELP NOOB"
"wtf!! Your acting like a noob here! You dont want ANY advice! Thats noobish"

Ugh..I broke my promise not to yell at people like that, but she was acting so childish and didnt want any help
 
This isnt a flame about valkurm, its a flame about a person who i happend to be leveling with IN valkurm dunes. Theres a difference :P
 
Well my point was that everyone has had this happen to them. I mean everyone. After a while people don't want to have the same post showing up everyday. O_o
 
Just a couple of questions and a quick comment..

1. What was the level gap?

2. Did someone level quickly? Why did the pt leader invite someone that was low enough to impact exp?

I've been to the dunes by level 8 or 9, I think, with my blm. I did get a few other jobs to 10 that I'm about to re-enter the dunes with..but I know that I've, as pt leader, recruited whm's a level or 2 shy of 10.

Now..once we have a little more information about how she got here to begin with...

Ooo..one more question..

Was she in the area seeking, or did she get recruited? When I was lvling whm in East or West Ron, I'd get invites all the time...had I made the trip and been told me lvl was too low, I'd probably be a little "catty" too.

Pun intended.

Not saying you were wrong or that she wasn't out of line. Just curious about a few details...
 
I believe the level gap was 3. Actuly, we invited someone and a member said "invite my friend catgirl" The highest leveled person came later, I'm not sure, but they couldve forgotten her level and about a level gap

Well..if she were there first..and it was going okay..which I think is what you're saying...

She may have had a right to be a little pissy.

I mean, if she were in the pt, and things were going as well as they can there, and then a higher level person got invited and BAM she's asked to leave..um...yeah...

Maybe she didn't need to go off, maybe she could have explained why she was pissy, but I guess, given the same situation, many of us may be less than pleasant.
 
Nono, she came in the middle of the pt. Then someone asked the leader to invite her. Like I said, I'm not sure if the leader realized the level gap, but she was like 1500k tnl. I agree I would be angry too of the level gap, but telling me to shut up when I simply told her politly that its better to go solo till 10 causew youll get in a pt better isn't really smart.

Okay, one comment, if I remember correctly, Catgirl = guy. And he was in an LS I was in. If he is rank 5, then yes I'm right. Caused a whole rash of shit during the rank 5 run, or so I was told. Complained bout paying for a chocobo, complained bout this and that ect. I refuse to pt with the person. And if I am right, he is a real asshole and cries like all hell.
 
Btw its NOT the lowest lvl that determines how much xp you get in a given area, or IN your party, its the highest lvl. The lowest lvl merely gets less xp.

ITs how high the highest lvl is in correlation to the mob you are fighting.

I wasnt the leader of the party, and I wasnt the one who planned him to leave. I simply told her you SHOULD go to another place and level to 10. So don't really start blamming everything on me.
 
Well.... Your in a group, you do things together, get rewards together, die together, so pretty much anything anybody does in the group, you are partly responsible for.

And you brought this topic to the board.
 
I've known Catgirl awhile now. Definitely not one of my favorite people. I'll leave it at that. S/he's pulled some real dooseys in the past.
 
Not long ago a guy that i know abit invited me to party and asked me to tank... but when i got to kuftal tunnel he says "Sorry we got a ninja... i'm trying to make a good party" .So lol all i could say was "wtf" :cry: .
 
Hummm I got the other 1/2 of this story. I had just Teleport-Dem (I was going to go heal random people in the Dunes) when I came upon Catgirl who was about to die. I healed him and threw him a protect. He then asked if I would power lvl him for 1500 exp to get his lvl 10. I though sure why not. I did not have any problems with him through this and he was pretty nice to me.

The one thing that confused me was that he had the Mentor symbol above his head but he really did not know anything about the game, or he acted like he did not know anything.

Who knows ! Maybe he can't take critizism !
 
Well, I don't know Catgirl personally, but I know at some point she got into the LS I am with and managed to piss everybody in one night, so they kicked her. She then managed to get back a pearl (from someone who was not there I guess the first time) and piss everyone off again in one night.

Anyway, I know people still talk about it and make jokes, mentionning whenever they see her in FFXI, so I guess it was pretty bad.

I am definately staying away from that person.

Spent almost a whole 10 mins trying to explain that to the dumest couple on Quetzalcoatl, Daowyn and Irene. Everytime they were above someone's level, they'd kick the lower levels out and invite new people at the same level. Pathetic.
