Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman were rudely interrupted on Broadway in the middle of their performance by some jackass and their cellphone.

I thought it was common knowledge to turn off your toys when going to shows?? Some peoples children!

Kudos to Jackman for being as polite and patient as he was. I would have asked that person to leave with no refund and quite the embarrassment.

Unfortunately, no it's not. People are just dumb fucks.

Seriously, though. That's plain rude.

Fuck cell phones. I turn mine off (not on vibrate, damn you - that buzzing is just as annoying) whenever I'm in a theater or even in a restaurant.

Yeah people really can't seem to keep their phones off when it's appropriate. I had to go to the social security office to get a new card and people kept their phones on and even complained when the police officer on duty asked them to turn off their phones. I don't know what part of "no cell phones on in a government building" that these people couldn't understand. You should be able to go without texting or talking on your phone for a couple of hours. That's why voice mail was made.

Makes me think that for the good of all theatere goers they should use that technology they are putting in prisons now to block all cell phone reception in the theatre. Of course I am kidding, but that sure would fix the problem.

Turn the theaters into a Faraday Cage? Hell yes.

Does is really need to come to metal detectors and frisks at the doors to remove toys from the ignorant??

Honestly. I get insulted when a friend chooses to chat on the phone or text while out for coffee with me, how ill mannered we are, and the toys we have just stimulate and give more tools to the absent minded and otherwise rude.

Holy crap lol.

Shortly after Stine and I were married, we met one of my old friends from high school for dinner. She (the friend) sat there, in front of us, texting...the entire damn time. So rude :|

Incredibly!

I have one friend that will get upset with me when I give her shit for pulling stunts like that... like I'm the rude one for cocking an attitude.

I have a friend that does that, we'll be at a party and she will be sitting in the corner texting.

Props to Jackman for not breaking character.

Idk, my phones vibration isn't noticeable to anyone but me, so I keep it on that.

I personally hate cell phones and if I wasn't required to keep one on me at all times I'd smash the fucking thing. People always seem to be on their cell at the worst time. Be it a play or driving.

When I go visit cheebs I'm going to buy a cell phone just to text to nobody while she is looking.

Whippersnappers these days! Back in my day, it was common knowledge that one doesn't use their passenger pigion in such situations!

Cell phones are always a nuisance when I hear them go off at the movies. Probably the worst instance was when I went to see the movie Walk the Line and some bitch actually answered and started having a conversation in the middle of the place. It was bad enough with the mentally handicapped woman a few rows down clapping her hands to the beat during the performances...

I hate cell phones during plays and theaters. Its just plain rude to ruin the whole show for everyone there.

i recently went to see a movie with a lady friend of mine and the guy in front of us starts txting right in the middle of the most interesting part of the plot. i mean the whole theater was pitch black and the main char is spilling his guts to his friends in the movie and someone opens their phone. i was filled with so much rage i kicked his seat so hard i think i heard something break. he put his phone away and his gf smacked him real hard too. never even turned around or took the phone out again.

Maybe you two were boring so she started texting? I agree its rude to have it on in a theater or anywhere that it may bug someone. And I pretty much keep mine on vibrate at all times. But at a restaurant I've texted before, not excessively.. but when the woman (or man) is trying to contact you and you don't respond, it's not good for you later. So don't immediately assume they are being rude, it could be important. Then again I'm not irritated easily, so I've never cared, maybe that's the reason.
