Has anyone had any bad experiences with this phone? I have heard really good things about it, but any time I hear someone with a complaint, it is usually something huge lol I was just wondering if anyone has this phone because it's reviews are great for the most part, and I need to upgrade soon and was looking at this one.

Get the Voyager. I work for verizon. Get the freakin' Voyager.

As nice as that is, I was looking for something more in the "free with contract" department lol

You are a disembodied Bob Sagat head. I'm sure they can cut you a deal.

Go to a Best Buy and see if the phone department won't give it to you for free. Sometimes, we do that.

First gen chocolates? or the new ones?

I have a first gen, got it free after renewing my contract for another 3 years.. I wish I wish I didnt keep this bish..

Well it has a lot of features that I won't use, so getting it would be worthless. I guess I don't mind paying for a phone, but I don't want to pay for something I won't use. I just need it for sending and receiving calls and text messages, and the reason I looking at the Chocolate was because of the expandable memory card to 4 gigs so I can store music on it too. I don't need some big fancy screen and a full keyboard. with flippies and junk lol

EDIT: One of the new Chocolates

I liked the fact that I could use my phone as an MP3 player, but I have one song on there cuz buying them is like $4 each, and loading them from the comp is useless as the battery gets raped during music use. (For the old Gen's anyways).

Personally, I would look for a flip phone that can do what you want as well. The chocolates (like many others) are all open faced, and get scratched to all hell easily.

I have to turn my phone a certain way to see the screen clearly lol.

But I dont know about the new gens. Just make sure you wanna do it, cuz your locked in under contract :(

Well I have friends who had old chocolates and got newer ones and love them, but one friend who has had nothing but problems. They say the battery consumption on the new one is much better than the last one too, so that is always a plus. It's not that I want a full MP3 player on my phone, bit if I put a few songs in and I am bored for a few minutes, I just want to be able to play a song or two to keep me occupied a bit.

I know two people who have one of these, one who loves it (Female) and one who despises it (Male). Personally, I'm not a big fan. The touchy non-buttons are hard to get used to. The keypad seems really fuckin small (If you text alot), and personally I think its ugly as sin.

Buy a Voyager.

I have a friend who works at Verizon Wireless (Call Center) and said stay away from the Voyager, but she did recommend the Juke (it's kinda small-ish for me). I personally like the Glyde (Samsung). I've heard bad stuff about the chocolate and yes, its ugly. I currently have the enV - it's a very resilient phone if you're one who drops your phone a lot, like me.

Wow, screw changing from Pay as you go to a real credit card service lol They want a $400 security deposit. Can kiss my ass Verizon lol

A friend of mine has the new chocolat and likes it very much. have no heard complaints from her about it.

I believe that the iphone and voyager have extra fees.. I know at one point my ex-bosses kid ran up her phone bill to $900 on that thing because of all the bells and whistles.

I recently got a new phone and went with Motorola W490. I'm not too picky about my phones, but I do have to say that compared to the last one I had this one is infinity better 7.5 hour of talking time, and 14 days worth of stand by. my signal hasnt dropped yet in my house, and my house hates cellphones. volume clarity is good ( also can get their program and put whole mp3's on as ring tones) sporting the ToAU boss battle song at the moment. :)

I don't know what your looking to spend on a phone or what your current plan is, but if you don't want something too fancy so far its been a decent phone.

Dude, the chocolate is a very girly phone as is the lg shine...i do suggest going for the Motorola Krazr 2 since you want a flip phone, and they are pretty good when it comes to stuff like bluetooth and playing music etc etc. The chocolate is just quite girly for me seeing as my two girl cousins have it and also my ex gf from england had it

I have the older version of the chocolate and I like it personally. I wanted to get something different at first but I've warmed up to my phone over the past year and a half that I've had it.

My only thing is that the battery doesn't last long. Other than that the sound quality for ring tones and music is excellent, and it is fairly easy to use. Though not everyone seems to understand the touch-pad part. And yes, the buttons are kind of small but I have tiny hands so it works for me.

If you have giant hands and can't deal with a touch-pad I wouldn't recommend getting it, but if you don't mind that then go ahead. Oh, and the newer Chocolates look better than the older version, so it is a bit nicer to look at as well. Hope that helped!

So I decided to go a totally different direction.

Decided to go with the Samsing M520 Nice slider phone with good battery life, and I was able to get a good Family and Friend discount through a friend of mine that works for Sprint.

Yeah, Samsung has better quality products than LG and Motorola usually.
