Changes Scheduled for the March Version Update (03/04/2008)

Screw all /dance emotions! /panic <motion> will rule us all!
 
Step Up: AV Edition
 
/Dance emotes are well and good, but this update sucks thus far.

I'm sure everyone expects some huge update info right before it's released, but I will rofl if the update comes and goes and all we get is this kind of crap.

It says equipped, but I am guessing they meant to say owned. Presently, you can only own Empress or Chariot, but not both and considering the new ring is obtained in the same fashion, I doubt it's any different. So it's only one ring of the three if I guess right, but even if I am wrong, you can only own 2 max, Empreror and Empress or Emperor and Chariot.

What I'm wondering is if it's simply a lower % bonus but more XP cap before wearing, or if it's something like "blahblah bonus xp" with a 1h recast like Anniversary was. It'd mean more XP if it's on a 1h recast due to frequent use, but at the expense of more CP spent due to constantly recharging.
 
Kind of a slap in the face to dancers, ya? Does that mean that dancers are going to get /playinstrument or something since everyone else gets to look like them now?

I don't mind /dance actually doing something, but copying DNC's movements seems a bit insipid.
But then again, roughly all of the emotes are copied by other emotes 2-3 times over, so can't say it's surprising that SE would do such a thing.

Dance emotes have been in nearly every mmo ever released. Except this one. How is adding a normal feature "trying to make this game" like WoW?

Kinda sucks that both my "recruited" players quit -_- I want my sol cap lol

Still waiting on my Tux though.

Emperor Band = Worth 2k , Exp bonus 2k? We'll see...

I must be like 1 of 2 people who are actually kind of happy about the update. I've been wanting a dance emote for years and af for the new jobs is nice. I'm easily amused though. >.> Kind of wishing and hoping that they added more missions for WotG.

Yeah I'm disappointed but not surprised that they did this. I was hoping that I could make my mithra bootydance like my ranger in Guild Wars. ; ;

I totally love the rock out emote in guild wars lol. I don't play the game but I sat there and watched my brother do different ones for an hour, we all like extra features at times.

But yeah I really wanna see what the meat and potatoes of this update will end up being.
 
Since my work fails and blocks playonline.com, can someone tell me what time this update is at? >.> Or is this the type that the servers don't go down for?

There's no news like that yet. This was just a normal "here's what's going to be in the patch" bit of news. We don't even have a specific day yet, though I wouldn't put it past SE to update on the same day as Brawl comes out.

Ah thanks. I didn't read it closely enough, obviously lol. My mind was too distracted by the thought of dancing around Bastok to notice the details! :cool:

Guild Wars has some of the best emotes ever. I loved their Halloween event too.

OT: I wonder when they'll let us know when to expect the update.
 
Dancing LS, the key to defeat AV?

This update is all about new BLU spells and finding out if we get Triple Attack now with a new combination. ^^
