Slight update. Didn't want to make a whole new thread about it, so here goes.
As stated before, I've managed to setup a hiddeously slow connection in my room here in University now. Recently, i've been allowing it to distract me completely and as a result have made a few more steps in my FFXI career.
After informing Virtuous (dynamis) of my departure and transfer of leadership, I made a note that I wouldn't be attending runs while here a Uni for several reasons. Once I finally setup my net however, I decided to attend a run to see how things were going. The zone was Beaucedine, and throughout the shell's history we've never seen a pair of Valor Breeches drop there. Due to the northlands update arriving at the exact same time I arrived at Uni, I was keen to give it a try post-update. I wanted to check out the increased drop rates, and perhaps even finally see a pair of the fabled (fairly useless, although extremely sexy) breeches drop. Lo and behold, they did. It was an epic moment, and it puts me at 5/5 Paladin after 70+ runs of main-tanking Dynamis. A massive thanks to Virtuous for letting me tag along to a run after my departure to satisfy my greed... lol.
On a side-note, I finally dinged SAM 75 today after an extremely long-haul. I've been leveling it on-and-off since I started playing, but due to level syncing had been making a big push recently to get it finished off. Had a lot of fun partying with the LS in various old spots again like Yhoator and Yuhtunga, and racked up a massive chunk of EXP together in the process. Big thanks to the LS for that!
Still killing time awaiting these essays to get started, although i'm not doing much more than Campaign at the moment due to this extreme lag...
See you in game guys.
