Plain in simple.I made of my characters in windurst, hate it very much and want to switch to bastok or sandy. But when I went to bastok, I talked to every single and last npc and the place and couldn't find anything. Talked to guards too by the zones leading to the gustsas. Nothing.

Please help.

I think you have to talk to Naji(sp?) in Metalworks to change back to bastok. I did it a very long time ago. If its not that guy, its someone in the upper layer of Metalworks D:

*looks startled that you'd choose Bastok over Windy*

Well to list why:

I like the music 100X more in bastok.

It just feels like home

I know the missions well

I'd rather set fire to windy than live in it

And who wants their flag to be 'light' green, it has girly man written all over it.

Windy is anti-new character. Until you can tele yourself or ride the airship it's just a pain. It's away from all the places one goes to early in the game

I talked to naji too, and all other NPCs. So I think I must be missing something.

Niiiiice GOTO BASTOK!

all right, talk to one of the windy NPC's in their counsulat<sp> on the upper layer of metalworks.

and BTW, lets not turn this into a dicussion or flame about how one nation is better than another please...

He insulted my nation, light green girly man my ass! Time for my patented ankle bite attack >:O

You can't have any active mission for windurst if you want to change nations.
If you have an active mission complete it then try in Bastok again.

~Off topic
Omg it's Chuck Norris! *dies*

/salute San d'Oria

huzzah!!

There are too many San d'Orians around, you guys dominate conquest too much. I'd much prefer to go to Bastok to craft, but with half the regional vendors up north I never have that opportunity.

Don't forget, it costs you about 18k to defer to another nation.

/Windurstian Salute.

If Sandy would just get rid of some people we would dominate. I couldn't be from Bastok as I hate the place so much i'll send other people there rather than go myself. I'm sorry Bastokans but the place looks terrible, it's like SE just couldn't be bothered designing it.

You're...an ankle biter? :shok:

Windy is to far from all the main stuff, but you can pretty much pt to 16 in the Maze of Shakalakabaka killing worms. I haven't been there to pt....in forever lol. I remember when it was the "hip" thing to do.

And screw all you Sandy Haters. Sandy rules cuz elvaans rule. I chose Sandy cuz I preferred the tall bad ass strong elvaans to the tiny punt ready Tarus. lol

It took 3 windurstian tarus to burn garlaige to the ground.. and all the racist elvaan freaks in it.

Elvaan NPC:HALT! All dirty foreigners myst sign in before using a mog house so I can haughtily talk down to them and act like a sanctimonious prick.

Taru: Meeeee
Taru-waru: Teeeee
Tarukki: Orrrrr!

/wave motion "San'doria"
/panic motion
/laugh motion

GO GO San d'Oria !!!

i cant wait to finish up the Bastok missions so i can switch back over to good ol' Sandy.

The fact that you'll make more money leveling in Windy than anywhere else pretty much kills the notion that the city is anti-new character. Yes, it's a long and dangerous journey to get from the city to the ferry in Mhaura, and a long, potentially dangerous trip across the water to Valkurm Dunes, but I considered it a fun little adventure for me early on. The Dunes aren't the be all, end all of early partying either. Aside from their heavy BST activity, Maze of Shakrami and Buburimu Peninsula are woefully neglected zones.

That said, Sandy is a fine place to live aside from the NPCs, who even treat the natives like shit. Or you can move to the scummy hume ghetto. The place should be burned to the ground and the galkas should be free to dine on the flesh of their hume oppressors, but it's your choice to make.

Haha Neyla, that made me snort coffee out of my nose. XD Best pro-Windurst rant I've read in ages.

Supposedly you would have to start doing supply runs all over again if you wanted to switch allegiance. I've also heard that if you change your mind, you'll still have to do them again if you revert to your previous country.

It's a new char though, so that's not a big deal.

I have 3 char in addition to this one.

There is Jag my main, I do almost everything on him

There is Rockybalboa, a char I made just for mnk

There is a random mule I made

And there is my 4th char I'm just messing around on when I only have a short time to play.

All except this 4th char come from bastok originally.

And I bet if Chuck norris played FFXI, he'd be a hume male from Bastok. Good running trials, got to be a man to live there, could arm wrestle the galka, and it would remind him of his delta force movies. What more could chuck ask for?
