Chart the Unknown!

FINAL FANTASY XI Development Team (9/13/2005)

Navigational charts will be added in the October version update. Each chart displays the location of a secret point where adventurers will find a surprise awaiting! Charts may be obtained by completing the quest "Inside the Belly."

More information will be reported on this page at the time of the version update.

The secret is you click the ??? and get mpk'd by all the gil sellers, then a GM appears, tells you he saw all of it, and then bans you. w00t!

Sounds pretty cool, maybe like treasure chests but cooler and maybe harder to find?

You get a piece of a map, and have to run across the worl to find a place that looks like it... or maybe you'll get a description of a place and have to find it... somethign like that.

Well, people DID complain that they wanted more mini-games to do while lfg...

I'd like if it it was event items, that'd be kinda snazzy. I was never around on this server to get any holiday items, and I was a wee nooblet on ramuh when I had the chance to get one. So I'm really looking forward to halloween this year, sunbreeze was... *shrug* A bit of a let down since taru's look fugly in Binkini's... And what good is +enmity to a blm?

I hope it's nothing like the Mermaid Ring etc quests, where there are ???s that pop in the general area marked on the map and only stay there for a few seconds. That thing is infuriating and can take hours even knowing where the X is.
