This just pisses me off.

The gilsellers are now camping Charybdis almost 24/7, prettymuch blockading anyone that wants a Joyeuse from getting one.

I've camped Charybdis for the past few days, and they get EVERY SINGLE CLAIM, it's just like the Chyme.

This really sucks.
 
That really sucks >< Its not like joyeuse is sellable so wheres the profit for them? Hope you get your Joyeuse ; -;
 
damn that really does suck =\, i had planned on trying to get one sometime soon but i guess i'll have to put that off eh.. is it Skygive?
 
That doesn't make since. They gain nothing from camping it since it is not sellable. As long as they stay there they are not earning gil to sell for money at least.
 
Most likely, they invite a person, charge them a significant amount of gil to lot on the Joyeuse, and then give it to them.

They cannot monopolize this NM, just as they cannot monoplize Chyme. If you go in there with a few friends, you will be able to get half of the spawns after a time, maybe more if you are good, less if you arent. The only reason they get most of them is because a lone person cant cover enough ground to accomplish much. Personally, I can shut down the room where the bombs and teh elementals spawn if I chose, but that would give me maybe 1/4 of the spawns, 1/2 of the time, meanin I would get, out of an estimated 20 spawns an hour, like 3 spawns. This wouldnt really dent their efforts.

Now, if you get some friends together, and have a fast voke or pull method, and get good enough, you can eventually accomplish the same thing.

Still, it is rather ridiculous that you would HAVE to do this, as its unreasonable. Good luck man.

"getting good at it" for something like this is not the same as "getting good" at stroper chyme
 
Then how do they get the claim everytime? Cant be sheer luck... 3 days for a highly popular drop from a 24 hour pop NM isnt enough to expect to get it. Look at people getting Orthinus Bow. Spending upwards of 5 hours to get a spawn, and then going 0/12 on drop.

It's 8 hours after death, a 8 hour window opens.

So, its 8-16 hr window 8 hrs after it dies.

Technically you can get it 3 times a day, but usually it's only 2 pops per day.
 
I bet they're probably gonna charge per time they kill the nm for you or something. although dont compare it to chyme. Chyme is easy as hell. i took over 70% of the spawns for several hours from the gilsellers solo one day. This was with mengers group not sonicteam though. Sonicteam is just too good at it unless he messes up.
a nm that require you to wait several hours for a pop is something different entirely. quite simply noone can spam voke for 8 hours and not slow down their spamming rate. voke bots and turbo controllers win there hands down.
 
How much are they charging? Or maybe they are really just trying to get it?

damn im almost ready to look into now many other server have this serious of gill seller problems and change to that server lol
 
do what my group did when Asahina stole from us... MPK THEM!!!! there are a bunch of mantas and fish beastmen (I can't even spell their names) that'll aggro nicely.. thepuller might die.. and if they sleepga then a nice diaga and the gilsellers will be fucked. They aren't real players anyways.. fuck them!
 
I can't recall ever hearing of a gilseller calling a GM so it's free game. :twisted:
 
they threatened it at Serket.. but they know they can't call a GM without fucking themselves over XD hahah!!

First of just MPK the bitches have a NIN train half of SSG down to that little room, and blow up on them when they are fighting Charybdis, laugh as hard as you can wile doing this, wait for the mobs to move out of the room (You are now standing next to the NPC Shangan or w/e). Kill Charybdis, tell everyone your story, so we can Laugh too.
