Announcement Chatbox Installed

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong and got the Chatbox installed and ready to go. Certain usergroups will not be able to see it and users under X amount of posts will not be able to view it. Most BBcode is *hopefully* blocked from it as adding images and youtubes would break the boards. :)

If there are any issues you come across, please post them here. If not, spread the rep love kids! ^_~

The typical rules apply to the chatbox as they do the forum. Let's not make it a heated argument, or flamebait people. Let's just keep it cool cats.

They will be located at the bottom of the forum for now. If there is enough uproar, I could add it to the top. :)

Is this chatbox the thing that's causing ungodly amounts of lag trying to load anything at all on qcdn, or is that just coincidental?
 
I noticed this too, QCDN is being slow as shit for me.

I've been wondering this as well. Today was the first time I was on QCDN since Friday, and everything I click on is acting as if I'm running on a 56k or slower lol. Something is cause major lag. Before today, things loaded instantly, now you have to wait a few secs.
 
OH, I was just about to restart my computer thinking it was that.
 
I'm gettin' a lot of slowdown here now as well. It took me 42 seconds from the time I clicked on the reply button to get to the screen I can type a post on. It also took me a good while to load the site when I first opened it up. I figured it was because I was on my schools connection but it's very slow here at home as well. I can't say exactly how long it took for the initial load up because I wasn't aware this was happening to others so didn't count. Another problem is I've had to try to connect to the site multiple times to get through. It times out but if I just hit refresh it'll eventually load up.

On the other hand, last night when the chatbox was initially added to the site, I can't re-call any slowdowns or problems at all. So I'm not sure if that's the cause but considerin' it's the only thing new it's a good guess.

Edit: It took 37 seconds from hittin' the post reply button to post. Normally everything is near instant for me here.

Same here.

If its the chatbox, just let it go please. Its not that great.
 
I upped the refresh time on the chatbox which should help out the server load time. Let's see how it works today and tomorrow and if it's still that harsh...it'll go.
 
Meh, turned it off for now. If the site seems to move faster we'll scrap it.
