This game, can be HOSTED(yes, hosted, a full server) without lag on guess what.

Any Windows PC made after 2001. That's right. Any decent Windows PC 2001+ with Windows Server 2001-2003 can sucessfully host and manage a server without lag or disconnection issues.

In interviews, SE said they have no back up servers because of the lack of funs to support more than one. They can't support a cheap PC? Yeah right.

Greed.

So...
Who wants to start a private server? =D

Can't be done, not yet.

Once the people at ProjectXI finish(if ever) then I'll be hosting one for sure.

Adamantking costume!
Really though, don't think the servers are bad enough to warrant that kindof need for anyone, it's not like it's 75% exp-bots or something, like some MMOs out there

Ive played on many private ultima online servers. I dont think it would be too much of a problem to make a private ffxi server. BUT.. I doubt too many people would have the bandwith to support one

without lag on guess what.

Any Windows PC made after 2001.

If you only plan on having one or two people playing. This game would take a boat load of CPU power. more than any standerd PC would have.

A server PC might be able to handle it though. That's what they're designed for.

No, I'm talking the average amount of people.

It's just bandwith. I have like 5 TBs(TeraByte- 1000GBs) of bandwith I think daily, so that really wouldn't be a problem..

Wouldn't your electricity bills be like, so high? O_o

To leave one PC on 24/7? Of course not. I'm sure all of you leave a lamp on over night and probably most of the day as well, there's no difference. You only need 1 PC, if it were 10 PCs or maybe a full server, it would be a different story.
