Cheating or not:

Gil buying? ....being a tool and lazy.
Gil Selling? ....using the lazy tools for profit.
Windower? ....who fucking cares, what you do client side is your own thing.
 
Damnit now no is gonna comment on the threads because some FUCKTARD shitted up the hole board. I really want people to respond on the windower topic. Is it cheating or not.
 
Windower in and of itself, no, i do not believe it is cheating. What sort of an unfair advantage does being able to minimize give the player in and of itself?

However, some of the things may come with windower, such as scripts, bots, and other misc. tools, yes I would consider those cheating.
 
Well First of its Third party. Second how much of an advantage do you have over PS2 players.

Example: You venture into a place you do not know. You using windower minimize your game and get the map offline. Im not saying I whouldnt do it thats not the topic (I love the idea). But the fact that it is a third party program and it gives you an advantage over other users I whuld consider cheating. Once again I whould use it if I had that abillity.
 
Well, if a PS2 wants to obtain a map or information on the game or such, they could just walk over to a computer and print it off. A windower in my opinion would just facilitate obtaining the information.

If everyone has access to a computer. One might not have one. Two his/he wife, husband, brother, sister whatever is on it. Im just saying youve got the advantage.
 
Yes, but having a faster computer would be an advantage too. Or a fast connection like those in Japan. But that is not considered cheating, it is still undoubtedly an advantage though.
 
Yes, but this is the beginning argument again, I dont believe it is cheating in and of itself. Is it against the TOS? Yes. Does it aide the player in any unfair way by itself? I don't believe so.
 
Just for clarification, I am not talking about the 3.2 windower with all the TP and stuff. I dont know all the features of that windower. I am referring the prior versions.
 
It's not really cheating. If it's to print off a map and you're in a party the others dont know where to go wouldn't you be the guide? Although you would have to use the <pos> command to find where you are. Albeit that there are areas with multiple maps it would be a wild guess as to which map you are on. If the download package comes with bots and other various things then yes it does give an unfair advantage to any one who doesn't use a windower.
 
The place where I feel the new windower would be very cheap would be in ballista. I like SE new crackdown on hacks and breaking of TOS and such. However, I wish they would direct it at the gilsellers. In my opinion, they are much worse than people using windowers.
