Checking others

When i first started this game I was told that checking others without asking is wrong, and that JP found it rude to check them without asking (this btw i have confirmed every JP i've talked to says you should ask)... but as time went on I found that friends would just check me without asking, so to some, or most it isnt wrong at all to check... what do you guys think? Is it rude to check others without asking? Or is it ok to check? Usually when i'm checked without asking i change my equip. some check me a few more times after and i just /no to them. but maybe i'm in the wrong regarding this matter... anyway feel free to vote

i dont think its wrong, i mean, its in the game so others could see how uber you are...lol

Edit: You also kind of have to check them to access there Bazaar....im not going to be like "Can i see your bazaar?" i mean god, you want to get rid of the crap...

One check is okay. But 2,3,4... checks are not.

There are people who also check me every time they see me too. That gets annoying. I don't get new equipment everyday.

I hate it when im running threw a low lvl area and everyone does a check on me. That is what pisses me off and why i picked yes. However if im in an exp party i dont mind if people in my party check me. However i do ask people first as a curdisy (sp*) before i check.

i sometimes have to check twice, cuz i sometimes hit esc too many times and so i have to recheck..or if i just quickly browse your bazaar, then i accdidentally hit esc too many times, i have to go back in, cuz i saw something i wanted...

If it bothers you why not just turn on your filter? If you dont know people are checking you, it cant possibly annoy you... unless you are paranoid or something...

I always felt that if you didn't ask and the person isn't having a bazaar then it is rude. I remember the first NA player I asked if I could check thought I was weird for asking permission.

In the end I just filtered that out along with many other things.

Yes I'm paranoid! Someone out there is profiling me. They are keeping tabs on what I spend my gil on.

I never examine people without asking them first ... I have always agreed with the Japanese on this ...

But, I don't mind it so much when I get examined either ... as long as you do it just once ... and I would prefer to be asked first but most people just "violate" me :wink: ...

when they ask How do you get your gil, just merely say "I work for my gil" then just walk away..not hard to do...and if your offended by someone that envys you, then you got problems

it only annoys me when the same person checks me, leaves.
10 sec later, checks me, leaves.
12 sec later checks me, leaves.
10 sec later checks, leaves.
10 sec later, checks, leaves.
wtf.
i dunno if you all have had this happen, but i seem to get it alot. its not the repeated checks in under 2 min by the same person that bothers me, its my having to ask myself when they do "What the Hell is wrong with this person?" are they lacking memory retention..were they hit on the head as a child, what?

when people ask me for gil I always have one simple reply. "Go get me 2 bat wings and I will give you 200gil" and they normally reply with "hey thats a quest!" and I say " Very good now go work for your gil like I have to"
