Just looking for some good strategies for this that require the fewest amount of people for the largest amount of damage given/taken.

Common sense tells me that I should maybe have a PLD tank + another DD, 2 BLM's and 2 healers. Pull to the teleport room, healers stand at the very back, BLM's stand on (near) portal, tank and melee stand as far away from mages as they can while still allowing them to cast. When BLM's get hate, zone, if healers get hate, zone (both via telepad.)

Does that strat sound reasonable?

It sounds reasonable, but through personal experience, this stat is very hard to pull off imo. I kited that thing for about 2 hours solid (I lost track, I was focused on staying alive), and we ultimately gave up when it ran too far off, lost claim, and regened to 100%. Luckily for us, another group had come down with the intent to kill it as well, plus additional backup from friends, and the mass-blm group bombed its ass into the ground at the ??? point. As much as I'd like to say the low-man kite method is possible, after wasting a few hours, watching everyone die from bombs over and over, and kiting it in circles, I NEVER want to do this NM again unless it's a mass blm nuke drop. At least we got the drop.

idk we had 2 parties, no alliance. 1 party only grabbed the adds, and the other party had pld and nukers just standing at the ??? with barfira and shell 4 its easy.

I've killed this guy w/ PLD and me as SCH. Pull him to the four tele rooms and keep running through all four rooms. SCH should stay in one room and just do Hydrohelix and Bio II. PLD needs to keep hate well because for some reason it would lose hate and come back after me.

Every so often he runs away to his pop area and starts throwing bombs, you have no control when he does this so just keep an eye on him. The fight is easy enough because of the insane DoT, shouldn't be there too long.

yea i have duoed him as rdm thf and sch thf and both times we did it very easily. As long as both people have some form of movement speed and are not complete dumbshits it goes fairly quickly. Sch is better than rdm tho for this cause those helixes are incredible damage... we dropped him in about 25 min as sch thf duo about an hr as rdm thf

rdm/nin solo, this NM is cake and dies in 30 minutes. Strategy :

1) don't worry about adds, they lose agro and depop after a while.
2) pop > run to one of the teleporter rooms, and keep runing around the 4 tele rooms.
3) once adds have lost aggro, bio2/3 (i don't remeber if poison works)
4) once you have outrun it a bit, throw a nuke in fast cast gear and run.

It takes 30 minutes if you nuke. Be sure to keep shadows up.

Occasionnaly it will run and drops bombs, but always comes back. Keep it on target or spam /target <bt> to know where he is.

rdm/blm and blu/nin works great. both just need w.legs.

Did it with Jinzo Rdm/nin no w legs and me blu/nin with w legs. In all honesty the less people the less annoying. If it runs away just sit there in the 4 tele rooms, it will be back and u wont lose claim. u can just run the adds till they depop when it brings. Lots of people = you don't know who has hate. 2 people = if its not you then it's them.

Ya just make sure you keep it Dot'd before he runs off and you can stay put in a room. Chances are when he comes back he wont have any adds - it seems if you aren't in his sights when he goes off running the adds won't follow back to where you're waiting for him. nuke, run around, dot it, then he runs away, pretty easy fight if you are careful not to get smacked around with bombs.
