Chemira is a piece of trash...

Almost all my pick-up pts pull in 18-25k, but then I don't seek, I start the pt, and hand pick my members.

Yall should have disbanded when the ninja left, 9/10 times replacing someone in the pt ends up with a worse pt then before, or it starts a chain reaction and everyone must go 20mins after the next one. I agree with Chemira's actions, and he/she probably did you a favor not getting a replacement.

Except he wasnt doing them a favor because they were fine with the exp they were getting. Regardless of what others think is best for the other members of this party, he screwed them out of ANY exp. Whether or not he found a replacement for himself, all he had to say was "I'm sorry, I have to go in about 30 minutes, something came up". This allows the party to decide if they want to continue or end it. Regardless of what a few people in this communtiy state, I highly doubt merit parties are commonly that high on exp/hour. Either that, or MNK WAR and NIN are just broken jobs. Average I would think might be 10-12k, with 6-7k being on the low end, and 20k + on the high end. Then again I could be wrong, since I solo most of my merits. Bottom line, you think they are wasting his time, he just wasted theirs.

Brd should have been pulling, resisted sleep is not an excuse.

And this is a weak flame. Not board worthy imo.

InbeforeNeo. :wizard:

I like how this turned into a flame on Tom when all he was asking for a lil heads up to get someone that finds that amount of exp acceptable. Tom is a badass RDM and could easily get a standard cannon, but like he mentioned, he was bored.

The polite thing to do would have been...

"I'm not feeling this party, do you mind replacing me?"

Thank you for the heads up Tom, if I ever need exp buffer or cannon again, i'll make sure to not tag along with this person. I don't run with people that bail and run just at the drop of a hat.

As much as I hate Tom, I have to agree. Chemeria did this to a exp pt with me before. We hadn't been there but 5 min and we were doing ok, but leader just ups and tells us the NIN has to go. Wort art bout it... as Tom mentioned, he/she really isn't that good, don't think he/she was even voing the entire 5 min they were with us. Chemeria just has a bad attitude and expects 110% from his/her party members while he/she contributes only 10% and then leaves.

I've never gotten above 15k/hour. WHM, SMN, THF, or otherwise...

So I dunno where all these stories of 20k,30k/hour + come from, but I would like to see.

It was not so much the melee, the brd kept pulling a lot of links and for some reason he kept saying his sleep was resisting alot. I helped him best I could but I really wouldn't blame the melee. Probably would of been a 15k exp party with a good puller.

Am I the only one who wants to know who the subpar bard is and what s/he was wearing? Merit mobs are pushovers to sleep except Mamool Ja (and even they aren't *that* hard). Pulling itself does take some practice, but generally two or three merit parties and you know what you're doing (or you ain't ever learning).

Eh i'd have to agree with tomasello. The ranger was a douche and he should have replaced himself, even if he was getting 10k per hr.10k per hr isn't that bad that you just say "i have to go" and leave the party without giving a shit about the other 5 who were there to party also. And yea he shouldn't really seek if he's elitest (Or a PIMP <-- for nerds).I have been playing for like 4 years now and i don't remember once leaving a party by faking dc or on a sudden notice.I always get a rep no matter what the reason for leaving is.If there is no rep available then i'd leave in 15 means or so.I'd take a melee with average gear over a douche with slightly higher stats anyday.

20k per hour is when everyone has taken the time to gear thier characters with the right weapons/gear and made an upgrade or two here/there though assault and some slight sky time. 30k per hour is the once in a lifetime exp when mamool ja/somewhere decent is uncamped and you got all of the players with nice/decent gear and the brd knows how to pull.

Exp per hour drops when people try to compete with a party killing 3x as fast but stubbornly manages a pull just often enough to break your chain so there are alot of parties able to get 30k per hour out there but since nowhere is really uncamped nowadays it just doesnt happen much.

What do you expect from a paladin from Integral? Not to be stuckup and snooty? One this that would have to disagree with the OP is that they have awful PLD gear. Compared to the 99% of other PLD's out there,, he has pretty good gear. But that doesnt just make you right for jumping. He'll I got gil willing to bet if this was another PLD of less known status, it would be more of a flame against them. When you agree to replace a party, you kinda saying to be there for a little while. People just don't understand norms these days.

It's called "common courtesy". If you have to go in about 15 minutes, ALWAYS let the party leader know so that the leader will have time to find a replacement and keep the party going.

I am ALWAYS careful to do that if/when I have to leave or log. People who don't make me want to :badwords: at them.

its comes primarily from people with high end gear and from familier friends. or players you know are really good. this is the main reason why i hate cannon parties. i've been in maybe 2 or 3 good ones. the rest i get bored really quickly in. thankfully i've gotten invited to a few manaburn parties. now those i have fun in.

I really don't blame Chem for leaving. As soon as he arrived to the party, we were in the process of wiping. The bard who was both an idiot and a gimp, linked 4 colibri, got himself killed (again), the NIN got slaughtered shortly after he died and the other WAR died as well. I zoned to safety because the thought of 4 birds pecking my dead corpse was unappealing and that was after I voked two seperate birds. This was also not the first time the bard linked 3-4 mobs on top of us. He had been pulling links nonstop all night plus couldn't control the mobs that he did pull. He used a SH, some stave other than an elemental stave which is why his sleeps never landed and I can only imagine it gets worse from there. After the first NIN left, Chem replaced and we repeated the same process of links and idiocy. It was never an issue of slow exp, but rather saving himself a headache. Oh and the epeen contest as soon as he joined was just icing.

Now I *really* want to know who that BRD was and what else they were wearing.

even if the party sucks, you should still be polite. i think thats what the post was really about more or less, or what i got out of it.

lol so 10k/hr parties suck now?

the bar got raised big time thanx to low HP mobs that respawn in 5 min instead of 15 like they did when you left.

Heh...SE just doesnt get tired of making this game easier huh?

But then it's someone else's problem. This is something I still don't get, people want you to be polite and get a replacement for a bad party without once considering the replacement will hate it just as much as you. Which is worse, letting a bad party disband or tricking someone into taking your place in a bad party?

you stole my lunch money. im not inviting you till you give it back.

You need to go on a diet so I was doing you a favor.
