There's a distinct trend towards consolidation of power in the office of the President, which means we're probably heading towards a Constitutional crisis on some level before it gets resolved back down to where it should be. I imagine it'll be about the time that a president tries to use an executive order for something that is exclusively the domain of Congress.

Seriously? REALLY? Shit, can I win a Nobel Prize for Physics for thinking about studying for my Physics test next week? Not actually studying, mind you, just thinking about it.

Honestly, it's a bigger joke than Gore winning the damn thing.

If you could actually made a little bit of an argument it would be an interesting discussion. The disdain most government officials have for the Constitution is kind of funny over the course of our history. I always find it hilarious that we view Lincoln as always one of the top 3 presidents (Washington and FDR being the other two) despite his disregard for upholding the Constitution and doing pretty much whatever he wanted (some pretty terrible things, although we'll only remember the end and not the means). There were some disturbing things done during the last administration for war time powers and what not, which I'll always find amazing that anyone could be so stupid on either side. Consolidating power is never acceptable, especially in times of war given how things have worked out over the course of human history in similar circumstances.

My favorite part was the "you don't know who you're speaking to" part, reminds me of my narcissistic grandmother. Then you go on to basically agree with me that the Constitution has been ignored, and that power is being consolidated! High five bro.

i dunno wtf any of you are talking about anymore...

as someone who lives here im sad that we lost. there was going to be thousands of jobs for the next 6 years to prep for the games. its a fucking shame that people, american people, cheered that we lost the games. makes me sick.
 
From the Olympics, to Politics and focus on the evil Obama for the millionth time to Obama winning the Peace Prize which there's another thread for. Then to Obamas relation to Nazi Germany to which way the traditional and bastardized Swastika faced ...

I was lost a long time ago but seems I've found my way.

Who cares where the Olympics are held, gives a bit of a moral boost.
