Choco-emergency!

So a friend of mine is raising his Chocobo. He says it's been asleep for almost two days now, and that it is starving, yet he cannot wake it up. He tells me the care plan is set to "A Walk in the Park" and is a bit concerned that it is going to die. Has anyone experienced this? Any info on how to wake it up?

He most likely had it set to rest for two days, and then changed it yesterday.

You have to make plan changes two days in advance for them to go through.

I doubt it can die. Besides, it's not like theres a lot of work lost at this point if it is possible. Rest is like a safe point really, I'd assume. Feed it when it's awake.
 
I’m having a similar problem with my lil girl ; ;

I went from
Care Plan: Rest 1 day - (slept all day)
To
Care Plan: Walking 1 day – (still sleeping ; ;)

One thing I did notice was the energy bar of my Choco was full when Resting but empty when Walking, I think that the Care Plan takes away all the useful things you can do with your Choco.

Having the NPC walk it all day drains its energy meaning it will be sleeping when you check on it, I could be wrong but it seems to make sense to me.

I’ve set the Care Plan to Basic so hopefully I can feed her tomorrow, and now she is crying at night lol
 
He said he has not changed anything. The plans were setup as Plan 0: Take a walk in town (2 days), Plan 1: Listen to music (1 day), Plan 2: Basic Care (3 days) and Plan 3: Rest (1 day).

The walk in town plan went from 2 days to 1 day now but the bird is still asleep. I think it's just more annoying then anything, I agree that they probably can't die but not knowing what the hell is going on sucks =P.
 
Ah, you could be right about the walking draining the energy thus forcing it to be asleep :wink:
 
I just put mine on listen to music. forever.

He did walk it damn near to death the first day. I know about as much about brain surgery as I do raising chickens. I'm just kinda middle-manning the deal. Looks like he set a plan, then tried to change it maybe?
 
Nah, he said he never changed anything. He's such the worried father, kinda cute to see the sensitive side =P. I think he's just gonna give up on it for now and try to see if it will wake up tomorrow.

I'm in the same seat... haven't changed anything, and he was full before he went in to a mysterious sleep

Just said "Day 7, basic care"

If it's sick, you might try the medicine greens (choco quest flashback anyone?).
 
It's been revealed that some peoples chocobos never wake up even after the rest plan is done. Even a GM has come across it (not sure which server though) so its probably beng addressed. I put my choco as rest the day before finding out so I hope it's ok.
 
So... does that mean all the chocobo have imprinted off of me and now theyre nonstop sleeping like I would?
 
So the Chocobo’s set to Rest can’t be woken until SE fix the bug ; ;

I wondering if it might be better to give up raising this Choco and start again, depending on how long it takes SE to fix this our Choco will slowly starve making them weaker and less affectionate.

Perhaps it’s best to take Old Yeller out back…

Yeah I got this same problem. Talked to a GM about it and this is the convo.

As usual the GM was very helpful. I sent them an email about my bird sleeping all the time, waiting to hear back. All I can say is stay away from the rest cycle til they fix it.
