I know a few weeks ago when the whole Chocobo breading thing was introduced a lot of people started raising chocobos and from what i heard, most of them where disappointed in the results. Either being that the chocobo was always uphappy/hungry/tired with them or were slower then the stable Chocobos. I've actually not heard of anyone with a chocobo that has come out the way they wanted them to come out. Plus i haven't been hearing anything more about them after about a month after the first couple of Chocobos first grew up. So i'm wondering if the whole Chocobo Raising thing has turned out to be a bust? (other then the fact that its a free ride. and the addition to the oh so popular epeen about having a non-yellow chocobo)
 
We're still biding our time until the racing option becomes available, but I couldn't classify it as a bust. I've enjoyed raising Papa Paprika from an egg -- I hit Day 91 of his life cycle yesterday -- and like having something tangible as a reward for the effort. He's as fast as a rental.
 
i just started a new choco egg. Its still a baby but looks like it has red tipped feathers on its head. The choco guy says my bird has an ill tempered
personality making it ideal for military use. does that mean black choco?? if it did that would be just awesome!
 
Yeah i love Chocobo raising! you get to exsperiance the joys and sorrys of parenting with out haveing to put in all the work :P

Really though, you need to fry them after you bread them. Just breading them is kinda lacking...

I'm probably gonna breed up a new one at some point, since supposedly it's much easier to level their stats now.
 
I'm waiting for Papa Paprika to retire in the next few days. I've already got the egg from his date with a blue female (first-rate Strength and Endurance) and look forward to raising their offspring.
 
I have a breeding thread that, like Hali's thread, no ones used save for myself and one other person. I'd like to breed mine actually, hopefully to get a black one with high strength and endurance. Mines already got impressive strength and a bit deficient endurance. Anyone got a card to breed with mine? lol
 
I cook its feet in Black Bean Sauce. :biggrin:

No that means its's strongest skill is STR, If its strongest skill is ENDR it will say its patient and ideal for carrying packages. Not sure about mental personalities. You won't be able to tell if your choco is colored until it leaves it's chick stage.

I have a Black male choco with above average str and substandard endurance. Its my 1st choco ever and I'm looking to breed it if anyone is interested
 
Ripoff!

About a month ago before they updated the choco raising gig, this guy claimed he had a blue choco and wanted to charge me 300k to breed his with mine. When i think about it, i want a black choco sooo bad that i just might pay some amount of money for a black choco card.
 
One thing I wish Square Enix would change is the card system. If the stats of the bird were listed in addition to the name, they'd be much more valuable. I'm not going to buy a card from a bazaar because you could be getting a flock retard.

QFT. I'd sell my card for around 50-90k because str is Outstanding and end is Average, but he's yellow. I need a black female.
