chocobo egg hatched?

It says it should take about a month for it all to get done, give it a few days atleast.
 
Said about a week for the egg to hatch.

Nope, I've read that thing time and time again, and, I've even used the search feature for the words 'egg', 'hatch', and a few other things. Sadly, the only time frame that they've given us about the chocobo's lives is that from egg to maturity is 30 days.
 
Assuming that they've used real-life gestation periods as some sort of guide, and also taking into account the one-month growth period for full adulthood, it shouldn't take more than a day or two. I definitely can't see it happening in a few hours, however. I'd recommend calming down and waiting until tomorrow to check again.

No but really, i think the whole process is to drawn out and boring. Ohh i get to go plan my chocos schedule for the next 7 days Yippie! I just want a black choco, i dont care if its the same as a rentable choco, black is just cool. And waiting another fucking month to be able to do that seems kinda weak imo.
 
Considering the raising plans are done in a daily cycle, you'd think people would, you know, check a day later.

Gestation isn't from hatch to adulthood! it's from conception to birth!
 
Seriously, it about time that it needs to be spelled out, since theres people still not getting it.

ITS ONE MONTH UNTIL YOU CAN RIDE THE FUCKING THING, NOT WHEN THE EGG HATCHES.
 
Did SE change if you can ride your chocobo anywhere, or is it still an NPC at the races only?

I hope I can ride the bird if I raise it for a WHOLE MONTH! D=

To be able to call your chocobo as a mount, speak to the VCS trainer and select the option “Register to call your chocobo.”
The status of the chocobo you call will be based on the condition of the chocobo at the time of registration. An enchanted item known as a “chocobo whistle” is necessary to actually call your chocobo. Equipping the chocobo whistle and using the enchantment will summon your chocobo.

And not even that, but it was confirmed weeks ago that we would be able to call our chocobos in the field.
