Chocobo Hatched!!

Did anyone have their Chocobos "born" with any natural abilities, or attitude towards certain weather patterns? I know the first is probably incredibly slim, but I'm highly curious as to how weather affects chocobos. It clearly does, since it's a listed part of thier personality.

from talking to the chocoguy, it mainly affects how effective "taking a walk" will be or training in certain zones etc. If they dislike the weather, taking them for a walk in a zone with that weather will make it less effective.
 
I thought it would be fun to ride a "Fat Coq" all day, but in the end I named mine "Papa Paprika."
 
anyone know how to get chocolixirs?

I think I seen some on the AH already, mostly ppl selling them to the same character or mule for odd prices.

Weapons > Ammo & Misc. > Pet Items
 
Anything involving Royal Jelly is the most retarded synth ever, since you can't have someone make it for you by bringing them ingredients. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that. :P

Today after walking my choco from Windy, I met the NPC in the field and got Key Item: Story of a Youthful Chocobo, but I don't know how to use it, no new options appeared on the care list.

Just trade food to the NPC. This was my first instinct, and I never had to ask the question ... it seemed to me to be one of the first things one would do to try to solve the problem on their own. I've seen people shouting the same confusion all over, though, so I guess I may be alone in that kind of thinking ... either that, or people don't bother to think and try to solve it on their own before rushing to ask someone else.

They really should make one of the chocoguys go over it, or even add a menu option in the "care for your chocobo" screen.
