Chocobo Stats.

Food has a very very very minor effect on stats (other than affection, for which greens work wonders), and it also works like care plans. It's not just an increase to what you want, but it's also a decrease to what you don't want: Zegham Carrots not only raise mental stats but lower physical stats.

Bear in mind that with the advent of racing and the training you can get with chocobucks from it (which can increase things without decreasing other things), you may be better off using care plans to raise your primary stats and then training to raise secondary opposite stats (i.e. a digger chocobo with mental stats would still want decent endurance so you could dig a long time; a racing chocobo with physical stats would still want decent discernment to learn Gallop and Canter).

how well do those care plans work that you buy with chocobucks?

how long do they last? and how much do they raise the respective stat?

Considering the really high price for them, I doubt many people have been able to get enough to really test the training plans.

Check out ffxiclopedia's forums, specifically the choco raising/racing forum (under the crafting section). Loads of info there.

The training plans are approximated to be somewhere between the effectiveness of an adolescent+ care plan (Carry Packages, Exhibit to the Public; takes about 5 successes to get a full stat rank) and an adult care plan (Messages, Treasure, Play; takes about 3 successes to get a full stat rank).

It's also important to note that unlike the care plans, there is no day wait required for racing training, *and* the racing training doesn't decrease opposing stats the way care plans do. So it's a good way of getting a racing chocobo that actually has high enough Discernment to learn abilities, or a digging chocobo that has high enough Endurance to last a while.

No. I'm sure people have. Chocobucks are a joke to get. The 100 cap is a huge hinderance.
