Chrono Trigger DS

Beat me to the punch, lol.
Exciting.

Beat me by 1 minute, nice lol.
Like I said in my thread, idc if it's a remake or port, I just want more Chrono games, more information please since it's supposed to releasing in Japan this winter.

You gotta be shitting me... I <3 so much right now.

Needs more swinging pendulum thingy though.

On the Square-Enix JP site it has Coming Soon 200807070000 which links to the CTDS page, so look for more information to come July 7th.

From a pic of the scan I've seen, it's just a port, probably be similiar to the FF Advance titles, a port with extras and bug fixes/etc.

I think I need a change of pants.

Edit: I just noticed, the clock is actually accurate to real time.

I'm posting from the moon right now.

Yes, I shat that many bricks.

DAmn I love my DS

Looks like I'm going to take another break from FFXI to play some of these games @_@.
They just keep coming and coming, one after another.

If this turns out to be true they had damn well better release CT in the UK, We NEED to play this game O_O

Edit: Sweet Jesus I think it is true, I just found this snippet from Shonen Jump on DS Fanboy

According to Wii Everyday, this suspiciously tiny snippet of a page from Shonen Jump was posted on 2ch. It very clearly features the original Chrono Trigger logo and a note that it's coming in 2008 from Square Enix. We'd be more likely to believe that this is a joke from some jerk 2cher than real evidence that the Square supergroup's RPG is being remade for a DS release this year.

That is, we'd be more likely to believe it was a joke if not for this. Seriously, click that link. You will say "wow." Now all we need to know is if this is a port, a remake, a sequel, or a card-based spinoff!

Ports are also a pretty good way to gauge interest in a franchise too.

So if this goes over well, they might actually resume some specific abandoned projects.

One can only hope. I am going to sound like such an old man when I pick up my copy and tell all the kids there how in my day, we didn't have this fancy travelling feature that they have in their new fangled DSs lol

I will now expose a hole* in my gamer-geek armor by admitting I never beat Chrono Trigger. I borrowed the cartridge from a friend and played through the first part of it, but I never finished it.

This could be my big chance....

* It seems you can't use the word I had, despite the context, because it's also a derogatory term for the Chinese. I laughed.

Yeah, I hope if this does well they finally start working on Chrono Break, or a sequel to CT and CC at least.

Pretty damn cool that the countdown's on the NA site now.
I actually hope it doesn't come out until next year. The DS is getting so many good games in the next few months, I'm afraid I won't be able to play them all @.@

Where's the countdown? I just see a clock.

Well, I'm hoping for a remake that's as aesthetically pleasing as FF3 and FF4s remakes, SE seems to be in the mood for DS remakes.

Well unless they do a simultaneous release probably won't see it in NA til 2009 since the scan says it's supposed to release in Japan this winter. But yeah I agree, too many good DS rpgs coming and that are already out this year, hoping it doesn't come out til next year myself too, though I wouldn't say no if it did release in 2008 here.

Lets hope they release it here, the Chrono Bus never came to the UK's SNES and that was really unfortunate T_T

Meh, whatever, I'm still gonna import every version of this X3

I'm hoping for a DS remake and a Virtual Console release of the SNES version a little before hand to build hype.

But yeah, it sucked it never came to the UK, although I did have it on zSNES emulator and completed it there, but it's just not the same.

Some things can only be truly experienced first hand rather than using an emulator.
