If your intent is just to piss someone off, its great, I guess. If you want to effectively convey some sort of intelligent thought and for people to really get your message and take it seriously, its generally best to choose a different word.

I already explained to you what I mean when I use the word ++++++ outside of a joking-around context(I call my friends ++++++s all the time, who are mostly all white, when they do things like kick my ass in a video game or etc). A ++++++ is a black piece of trash. The "piece of trash" part is key though, and you don't seem to understand that. And I don't see anything wrong with calling a piece of trash a piece of trash.

It may be one of the most offensive words in the english language to some people, but if you deserved to be called a ++++++, I'm gonna call you a fuckin ++++++. If you don't like it, don't act like one.

Personally I think white America is far too sensitive over this word. To me the most offensive word in the english language is probably God da----. But even I don't get pissy when it's spouted off on tv or by my friends constantly. To me it's one word, to some people it's another. Does that make one of us more correct than the other? To me it's all relative.

believe it or not i know the point Excalibur is trying to make. Racism is a fire that should have gone out years ago, but both sides continue to agitate it. Close minded white americans who still cant get over the fact that there are people in this world other then them and foolish african americans continue to give them reasons to fuel their beliefs. Both sides are equally at fault.

i saw to many black parents while i was growing up raised their children with the notion that there will always be this "invisible wall" constantly holding them back. my parents tried to put this notion in my head too, but it never made any sense. cause i've never felt held back by anything. I just did my own thing and if no one else liked it i figured it was there problem. my friends in my high school all freaked out when i came to school with green hair once, but they knew that was just me. never in my life have i lived anyway other then my own. it was my distinguishing mark. i also think it was also due to the fact i was naive as fuck when i was a kid.

Its just like the old Chris Rock saying; "There's black people, and there's n1ggers. the n1ggers have got to go." basically saying the same thing Excalibur is saying. although i've started calling them "ghetto rats" to distance myself from using the N word. I grew up around a good number of these ghetto rats. my brother was one for a time, but i'm glad to see he's finally shed most of that foolishness (but not all). i went to a "black" school for Jr' high and it was packed to the walls with em. My high school was a black school as well, however the the rat infestation was severely chopped. i was to young to put words to it then but when i look back now i realize the difference. my jr. high school's staff still filled the students heads, most of whom lived in the projects of New Orleans, with that same invisible wall crap. i noticed teachers in my high school never focused on that angle. they tried to keep the student's minds positive, and didn't bog their minds down with the negativity of the past. and it seemed to work with a lot of them.

While I do agree with you on some level, the one thing you are missing is that you can't remove 300 years of oppresion that are attached to the word "++++++". The meanings of words do change through popular usage, but you are not using it's popular use.

Articulating your feelings in this manner is much less offensive (to me) and drives the point home a little better. Its largely about how you say it because the way you say it impacts the way its received. When you deliberately choose inflamatory language, the meat and potatoes of your message is often lost, and that is what I was saying previously.
