so i need to get my ps2 online, but because of that damned program, i can;t. anyone know what to do? i think i need to give the it department here at college the mac address of my ps2. does that sounds right?
I know, but I was refering to something else. I see how that was easy to misread. What I was refering to is he can't get in because his school's system requires a windows based os for cisco clean access agent, which ps2 along with mac and unix wouldn't work on. Thus, the school must offer some alternate connection for those. My school does the same thing. We have a program called 'smart enforcer' to regulate our connections, but it only works on windows. So if you have a linux or mac, you can bypass smart enforcer through an alternate connection they provide. I mask my windows xp machine as a mac to bypass smart enforcer in this way. There should be some alternate available on campus that his ps2 would work on.Krisy said:mac address doesn't mena he owns a mac, its a type of adress that lets you connect to the internet. As for what to do, there should be a network guy (if you live in the dorms) that should be able to help you out and let you knwo what to do.
