So ya, a remake that seems like it'll be entertaining action-wise, but will it live up to the awesomeness of the original? :P who knows.

I always watch movies like this. They always provide exactly what I'm looking for.

I've never seen the original. I loved Sam Worthington in Terminator. I love movies based on mythological stuff. Looking forward to this a lot!

Looks like they will be using a different story from what i see in the trailer. just with the same characters.

I'm torn. On the one hand, I don't think it can top my nostalgia for the original with all the Ray Harryhausen creatures (Medusa!). On the other hand, it has the ever-scrumptious Sam Worthington running around in a leather skirt.

I love the original and used to watch it all the time, so I'll give it a shot.

Ohhh looks good. I like Perseus already, but I'm gonna miss his long hair. What will make this movie is the Kraken fight and the brief glipses of the giant scorpions scene looks superior to the original.

ps - I hope they don't leave Pegasus out of this remake. D=

looks good :) can't wait to check it out!

I shit you not, I was *just* saying to Stine yesterday "you know, it would be great if there were a new live-action movie about Greek Mythology, like Clash of the Titans sans Harryhausen monsters (good as they are)".

Oh my God, I'm happy :)

I loved this movie so much I made my mom buy me all the characters form the original movie in the SEARS Christmas catalog. Yes, even the 4 hand giant Kraken figure! ^^

The original is high up there on my all-time favorite movies list.
This pile of vomit looks like another generic action flick trying to ride the 300 train.

You'd think you've already seen the movie from this <_<

Well I can understand his concern. Remakes tend to not live up to the original :P but who knows.

Well, apparently 2012 is good for that person's movies. Compared to his other bad movies :P

At first I was a little bit optimistic about the film since mythology and mythological themes are, generally, well-adapted to film. However, after reading the synopsis on IMDB, I will have to pass:

"Perseus (Worthington) who was born of a god but raised as a man, sets off on an epic mission to combat Hades (Fiennes) before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. "

Blatantly Christianized and not even in the same solar system plot-wise to either the original film or ANY variation of the Perseus mythos.

People like 2012? /sadface

people who go to see that want to see big cool special effects smashing up the world and that is exactly what it is. the other people who go see it for something else are what you call idiots.

I suppose I can understand the lure of the big graphics. I mean thats why I saw Transformers 2. Wouldn't call them good movies though.

I guess the guy that looks like Reptile from Mortal Kombat is supposed to be Calibos. And I find the lack of Bubo disturbing.

Also:

I think whoever wrote that is mixed up with Disney's Hercules. At least I hope.

Only way it could be better is if James Woods played Hades.
