I mean, at least the guy was open for suggestions. I've refused to help people learn the dynamics of ffxi as of late, so many people take offense and go /wrists on me.
 
You can't be so harsh on people's names. When I started this game, I was 15. So I thought "Icewolf" would be a cool name (I also came from runescape, where it was cool to have a gay name). And now, I realize it's a very poor and unoriginal name, and really wish I could change it.

However I think putting X's and such in your name is kinda ridiculous.
 
The reason he named himself after Cloud was he likes to RP, not just the grind of leveling, actually RP. The "x"on the end was added so that the character could be made.

I lol'ed when I saw it, and it does usually through up a red flag, but like I said. I did tear hard into him for what he did Davion....

And yeah, the RL thing w/ Cloud kinda fails, but that's the reason for the random AFK's. And note in my reply I said he rarely plays? ok, but anyway, Im on the phone chewing him out as we speak, I'm truly sorry he did that Davion, I can't baby sit him all the lol j/k. I just hope he realizes his actions can affect his experiences in the game......
 
There -are- roleplayers on Quetz who roleplay original characters. While I applaud his desire to roleplay, it's kind of lame to want to roleplay "Cloudstrife" in Vana'diel.
 
People still pull noob stunts up through lv 50. Blms againg the treants in CN, or the drg/war that thinks voking every 30 seconds is a great idea. If the players are willing to listen and learn, then there is hope for them. Replacing after 5 minutes is just bad party manners. So long as this guy learns these I won't judge him by his name. After all a few of the X people actually know how to play.

I don't care how nice a person is. I'm fucking sick of seeing FF names. They are so overused it's not even funny.

Actually...Myrrh is also the name of the liquid that is used to keep the crystals powered in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Fail.
