Coffers for one job, with another.

I'm trying to get my THF's full AF before I level any further (mostly because I'm bored). And I have the requirements for the coffers in Zvahl and Beaudeaux, but do I need to open the chests with the THF or can I do it with another job? (With the coffer Key)

You can get your Old Gauntlets on another job, because it's quest related. The other 2, nonquest related peices, you have to be on that job.

Same thing goes for AF-2 and AF-3 quests. Can be done on another job, even if it requires a key item in a Treasure Chest.

Yea luc you n00b (jk) you can only get those kind of coffers with the job you need them for. Only quest can you get with another job such as the gauntlets in monastic caves. O and by the way....my internets been down might not be able to get on for about at week...tell the LS not to do the other pomyvs w/o me.

What might be better is to give an example..

For instance lets say hypotheticly i had a level 75 BLM and i wanted to get my PLD AF body.. The quest to get it requires a Castle Zhlats Bailey's Coffer key to get a "Mimiques Paintbrush" which is a Key item.

If i got the Key to drop with my BLM could i open the chest with my BLM and get the "Mimiques Painbrush" required for the PLD AF quest?

If you are getting a key item (ie "Old gauntlets" or the paintbrush mentioned in the above example) you can open the coffer with any job. Same goes if you are getting a quest item- an item that you're just turning in to an NPC to get the AF reward. Example of that is the "Beast Collar" from BST AF2 in Castle O- I recieved that item opening the chest as a RDM.

If when you open the coffer you will be getting the AF immediately deposited into your inventory, you need to be there as the job the AF is for for this to happen.
