Just wanted to thank Elvenroth, Boondocksaint, Brina, Galiant, and the other people for the great XP party at colibris yesterday. I hadn't gotten an invite in a week (kids going back to school = less invites :'() and had a great bunch of XP... no deaths at all, although thousands lost to food stealing, eh Elven? ;)

Oh and BOOOOO to the THF/NIN who kept soloing near us even though there were plenty uncamped elsewhere.

But ya, hooray. :partytime:

hey i started off in that party but i had to leave ; ;... we had a nice run of 9k before i left..

good times!

Yeah man. Was a great pt :) Had much fun w/ you. And yeah. . . I lost like 100K in food :(

If I were tanking Colibri, I would eat Kazham Pineapples so the Colibries would take a -5 AGL hit whenever they took my food. I figure they're dirt cheap and stackable.... why not? lol

Thats a pretty good idea actually. WIsh I would have thought of it.

Tanking those kinda of sucks since you have to tank with no food and debuffs. They hit pretty fast but not so hard atleast.

I blinded Elven a few times for fun when he got hate with Kurayami: Ni. Good times indeed. :P

Firestreak was pulling them as BRD last night with Cure III. It was rather amusing to see him take 3-4 hits from it while waiting for the one we were fighting to die, then the bird would stop, and drop a reflected Cure III on him. lol

Elite, I gotta try that.

At what level did you do this? Those things sould fun to level on with the reflected cure III and whatnot

I'm pretty sure we were a 64-66 group. The xp wasn't really all that hot until later in the chain progression. Given the choice I'd stick to those things 62'ish - 65'ish.

As a mage I still para/slow them...just am quick with the paralyna/haste on their reflected target. The colibri retain the effect even after "reflecting" it.

I didn't know they kept the effect. If so I would have continued to use my debuffs. It was my first time XPing on them besides solo on the lower level ones. Those don't reflect your spells. Party asked me not to so I didn't cast debuffs, I assmued that they didn't retain the effect.

Yeah I had a "discussion" in one party I was in...where they said the mob was reflecting (it's actually more like they mimic) the spell and I say "hmmm...well why do I keep seeing "The Colibri is paralyzed." One paralyna costs less mp than all the cure's I'd have to toss out.

And thanks Boon ^^...give a holler if you need a mage..I need merits! lol

I'd love to merit. I've been so busy lately I haven't had time. I'd really like to finish my last Str merit and start on something else lol.
