Columbine 10 years later, the real story.

So it took 10 years to realize that they were just fucked up people. Nice.

All I can say is I am glad those bombs didn't go off or I may not still have a sister and a few friends.

i'm not even sure what to call it. foolish reporting? jumping to conclusions? maybe both. i've always thought it was simple to see that they wernt stable. use the k.i.s.s method and you will make fewer mistakes. angry goths & loaners of that day were a dime a dozon. but sorting the stable people from the unstable ones wasnt as had as it seemed. at least i thnk so.

it reminds me of the whole DC sniper bit. experts all over profiled the shooters, shooter really cause they thought it was just 1 guy, as the typical angry white male on a rage. they didn't have shit to say when they found out it was 2 black guys that just wanted money, other then to quickly try to tie them to any Muslim group possible.

Can't even tell how many friends I had get suspended, expelled, counseled, and medicated because of the fallout of this single event.

One of my lifetime best friends was placed on Ritalin, then Paxil to counteract the Ritalin, and now he's antisocial and cannot even function normally in society, simply because he acted differently from the other students.

To find out that most of the reports were a lie is unsurprising. To find out ten fucking years later is a travesty.

Reading that article made me sick to my stomach. Sick, not only from thinking about the minds of those psychopaths, but sick from thinking about all the people who used this tragedy to push their own fucking agenda's.

Who would've thought that Marilyn Manson or violent video games weren't the cause? Who would've thought that these kids made their own decisions based on their own fucked up thoughts and chose for themselves to kill all those people? Sure as shit not me. My minds' been fucking blown away today.

I never bought into the music/video game bullshit the media fed to people. I always was under the impression the story was as that article explained it, some really mentally fucked kids. It was a really tragic story and here around where i lived a couple stories have happened similar.

There was this one kid who had a hitlist, in MIDDLE school (Junior High to some of you), in a magnet school, his friend went to the bathroom, he soon after excused himself to do the same, he cut his throat and stabbd him to death and came back to class and sat down like nothing happened.

I hope they have been/are doing things to possibly prevent the state of minds these kids fall into, instead of the fingerpointing that goes on after it happened.

There's nothing anyone can do to prevent psychopathism. Murderers are born, not made. I've thought quite a bit about this so feel free to disagree with me.

I just finished reading 1984 for the first time.

He who controls the present controls the past. I'm intrigued that now, a decade later, all the facts before were wrong.

Facts are a matter of perspective these days. Just look at all the "facts" we've been shown about Iraq, or the economy, or look back in history at the facts about Vietnam at the time vs now. What the news calls facts are merely one point of view that they want to push on the public.

This is disgusting that those lost souls lives have been twisted to fit some agenda, regardless of how supposedly for the good of the public the twisting was.

Is this the point where we all point fingers and shout, "I told you so!" at the FBI?

I actually got suspended after this incident for answering a question of the day. "What would you do if you had a million dollars?" I put, "I'd buy the school and watch it burn." Then again I kind of asked for that one, huh?

Given the environment of rampant paranoia around that time, yeah, that was probably unwise.

Fuck you FBI! I had to deal with 3+ years of jackasses claiming I was going to blow up the school when i never made any indication of wanting to do so other than less than 10 sarcastic remarks saying how smart it was for them to try to piss off a kid that may go on a shooting spree.
Also. Psychopaths are everywhere technically. it's actually alot more common than you think. generally look for any job with a position of power and there's a high chance(30%+ ii think) of a sociopath being there. They gravitate to high ranking jobs because they like the control.

Well, im not as well informed on the subject as you might be, id like to think theres some hope for prevention. I wouldnt want to say this is just something we'll learn to live with.

When people with Bi-Polarity were first discovered, many thought they were just crazy and needed to be locked up forever, now theres ways of dealing with it, preventing the Bi-Polarity to release itself. Its not the same thing but just because theres no outright way of fixing it now, doesnt mean there cant ever be.

I think alot of it has to deal with the way your raised, i had a class about child development once, and theres studies showing kids turn out certain ways depending on how their treated as infants and what not. Like picking up the baby too much when cries to get him to stop, could spoil him a bit, things like that. I could be wrong, i'd just like to think theres some way that this could be avoided.

Raising a sociopath to be a upstanding citizen is a feudal effort.

Yeah I know for the most part it's how your raised, but there's some people that are just born crazy. The only reason I say this is because I've seen people raised in perfectly normal caring homes and grow up to be absolutely bat shit insane. I'm talking about the kinda kids that torture small animals.
