I swear, everyday, there is something wrong with comcast. Either connection being totally undetectable or for example right now, their DNS servers being trashed.

Had a free day, and can't play FFXI.

I had to access this site through 69.16.205.179 lol. And all the pictures won't display because I'm guessing they're hosted somewhere else not using IP.

/sigh...

Anyone in MD / VA / NC / SC / GA / FL area with the same problem right now?... but if you are, you wouldn't be seeing this unless you have qcdn's ip.

I have comcast I never had problem w/my Internet but their customer service blows bigtime and they always screw up on billing... They gave us the $10 off coupon because we been customers for a while it said to send it w/our bill and pay $10 less so we did and next bill they charges us an extra $10 for not paying it on past bill, we called on 3 or 4 occasions waiting about 20-30 min each time because they kept not crediting us the $10....

Sort of, there is a mechanism to prevent others from using images that are hosted on QCDN. Thus, unless the request is made from qcdn.org, the images won't show up.

Sounds like Comcast's DNS server is hosed. Shouldn't be too long for them to fix that as likely a bunch of other web sites became unreachable as well.

Heh, I've been having similar problems with SBC in my area but I know several people who are just as pissed at Comcast. I remember Phraust's thread about comcast regarding his e-mail to comcast about his service dying around now each year.

I use comcast and have no problems except for a couple random very late nights last month where my connection stopped doing anything useful, even though my modem was still connected.

Assuming you have Windows XP:
Go to treewalkdns.com, or in your case 68.178.210.149
Download and install treewalk hawk. You are now running your own caching dns. Set your primary dns in tcp/ip settings as 127.0.0.1 and your second dns to comcast. This might get you working immediately. If not, you will at least have more reliable dns in the future.

my comcast servers has been acticting speratic lately as well. Not sure if it because I live on a navy base or not. Got me killed last night because it desided to die on me for like 10 min.
