The people in this party will rename nameless. If they read this I just want them to see error of their ways. I don't think they're noobs just that they are ill-informed.

Last night I was seeking for a party as I was running around doing all kinds of shit when I get a blind invite to join a party. Now I hate blind invites but whatever I was 2k TNL (which was in my search comment) and I just wanted to get to 44. So I join party and it actually has a good setup and full players. WHM, DRG, PLD, BLM, BRD (a friend of mine) , and THF (me). So we go try secret room in Crawler's Nest and it was totally overcrowded. So someone suggests Gustav Tunnel. I think that 43 is too high for Gustav Tunnel but figure hey, why not. So while in tunnel first I notice WHM has little or no MP at end of every fight. Now we have a BRD and are fighting VTs so I ask WHM to not heal party after fight and let BRD song regen us. He says ok and I was like cool. next fight he throws a couple cure 3's after fight (that we're not needed. Whatever. So then next fight I SATA off of PLD and goto do 2nd SATA off of DRG but he is too far from back of mob. I ask him to move up please. He says "NO, I miss too much when I am close to mob." Ok. Now I really didn't want to argue but come on. WTF. So I say, "position doesn' matter BTW." Which he responds " I AM NOT THE TANK, SATA OFF OF HIM." OMG. I didn't know what to say. So I said I can't Sneak Attack when the mobs facing PLD and he has enough hate so don't worry. He says I should SATA off the side or something. WTF?? Also noting he was a DRG I asked him what jump shed. So now we were arguing, which sucks, and everyone is getting pissed. So I just start pulling again and the DRG was actually doing good. there was one pull problem where we got aggroed on my pull back and lullaby didn't work for some reason. I can't remember. When I dinged 44 I said to leader, WHM, in tell I'm going to find a replacement 'cause my level 44 is gonna sap all your experience. i told him I wouldn't leave till he replacement get's here. He went ahead and replaced me and was kinda rude to me.

Now here is the thing. Has anyone been in a party where multiple people didn't do their jobs correctly. Do you shutup or tell them how to? They were getting mad at me for pulling mobs when WHM had 25% MP, but, we had BRD, it was only chain #1 or #2, and we were FIGHTING VT's for christ sake. Why the hell didn't he have MP? I knew we could take those mobs. And we did. Me and the BRD were in party like 2 nights before, pretty much same setup, chaining 5's constantly and we were lower level.

I left knowing the people who I was arguing with were just going talk shit and that really pisses me off. ARGH. Sorry for the rant.

I did screw up a couple times, lol. I've had a bad sinus infection and a couple times I forgot to engage the mob when I tried to SATAVB so it didn't fire. My brain was all sinused out.
 
They're called dipshits. There's a reason I think that people who visit QCDN are better than most other players -- people who come here are taking the time to do their homework.
 
I dont try to tell anyone how to play their job.. but when it affects my gameplay and abilities as well as hinders the PT i try to ask first and if they say no I just ask them to let me try it once (maybe on the first fight with full mp for reassurance). Usually people are cool enough to try something once, but those that arent, I give them my last 30 min notice then disband, unless its late and theres no other options or nothing better to do =P

And BTW the hate shedding jump is at Lv50, Super Jump.

My view has become this lately: If a party sucks, I might stay, but I'm not dying for them. (IE I'll zone at the first sign of trouble, with a big "/p ZONE!!!!!!!!11111111oneoneone <call0>".)
 
If I tell someone something that could in anyways come accross as questioning there skills I'll do it through a /tell never in party chat. I find that people are more likely to defend themselves if you make it public. More times than not the people respond well to it.
 
Some people just can't take criticism period. They think of it as a put-down rather than a pointer that THEY and the entire party will benefit from. I like to learn new things, as long as it is said in a constructive manner. Don't just bark orders around. Ask if everyone understands the set up. Explain all that you can, to those who don't know. If they still don't get it or cooperate, then leave the party.

It took me a little while to get used to SATA... My problem was, different players had different ways of setting up. Some used macros, others just went for it, then yell when the mob or tank moved. What I did was come straight forward with a THF and had him explain and demonstrate it for me.

NOW, as a PLD, I love SATA! I immediately set up for it every fight when there's a THF in the party. If I can learn to party with a Ninja.
 
Well, I can sort of feel your pain, I have only been in one pt similar to the one you told us all about. This is what makes me nervous, because now I kind of need to shutup and hope my pt wins.

I am a thief, and a tarutaru on top of that. People do not respect taru melees. Part of the problem is that I can only get on realllly late at night during the week, so most people are asleep.

My first time in Kuftal Tunnel, we were fighting robber crabs as a 51-52 pt. First off, the pt wasn't that great, and on top of that I have never fought robber crabs before. When I attacked, I either missed alot or hit for 0. This was a good learning experience because it helped me to realize that thieves need accuracy too, despite their extreem dex.

Anyway what was bad was that I was doing very crappy, and the blm was being a pain in wanting to MB his Freeze. He kept saying that it would do 1000 dmg, but always bursted for about 700. Whatever. These battles were so long that I did about 4 SATA Viper Bites in one battle. On top of this I left all my meat/chief kabobs in my mog house.

So to make this sort of rant short, the monk started laughing at me, and the whole pt soon started making cracks about tarus and that I should have been another race. That really boils my blood. I was just not equipped to fight those mobs. I soon went to Jeuno and bought a life belt and lust dagger. This will hold me until I can get my wallet fat enough to get the corsair's knife. Until then I am finely equipped.

The moral of the story is: crappy parties make good learning experiences

High Jump, Lv35 DRG Ability also sheds hate. Not as much as Super Jump, but enough to get the aggro off of you for a quick provoke, SAnTA, or any other means of getting hate.
 
I simply disband crappy parties. No second chances.

In fact get these, i learned how to type some ascii japensese code a week ago, like the smile face ˆˆ or • • • for periods, so i pretend to act japensese in yhoator jungle, and this entire party is like my bitch. But when some rank 4 warrior leveling it up for run comes along everyone thinks hes a complete newb, fighting rabbits in west rofonue, and get so offened when they tell them to do their jobs,

But anyhow from all the time disbanding and seeking for a a great party i find one, and get great exp....
 
Oy I don't get a lot of invites and they're usually to some pretty horrific groups...I was in a group with 2 White mages and neither of them would cast protect II...Or how about a WAR with his macros in shout? Uhm....A Taru RDM in RSE with a MNK sub(which is cute in the dunes but not at the citidal), I was in a party that got 2k xp in 5 hours.

I'm too nice and don't disband in fear of LFG for 2 hours but man it really messes me up when people don't do their jobs. Being a summoner I adjust to the party because I"m a very flexible job. If there's no WHM I'm usually spamming Cure, Cure II & Cure III along with Shining Ruby and Aerial Armor. If there is a WHM and a couple of good DD classes I back up heal and buff the party with Ice Spikes & Enthunder, if there is no good DD classes I try to throw out some Double Punch, Tail Whip, Megalith Throw and other various DD BPs.

When people don't do their jobs it makes it very difficult for me to figure out what my job should be. It really sucks and I thought I'd be done with it levels 40+...boy was I wrong! :shock:
 
YEa but i have no life, I will play tekken 4 and LFG for 3 hours without flintching, ^^
