I'm a Batman fan and have been fo years! Truthfully though I'm more of a Robin fan and always have been. There have been some major events going on in the comics lately like Tim giving up on being Robin and then Stephanie Brown (Spoiler) Taking over as him. Mind you Stephanie is also Tim's girlfriend so this was a little akward. Tim quit being Robin because his dad found out about the alter ego and forbade him from doing it again....apparently he sorted things out with his dad and is now Robin agian.

Stephanie went back to being Spoiler and got the living tar beat out of her by some bad guy (I saw this part) and then APPARENTLY she died.

Something else happened....something happened and now Tim's father is dead and his step mom in a mental institution.

Tim is now in Bludhaven taking over for Nightwing who also got the shit beat out of him.

Now this is what pissed me off. All this stuff seems soley based on Robin right? Did any of these events actually happen in Robin books? No...

I mean why the hell would you put events like this in other comic books?! It's like Killing Batman but doing it in a Green Arrow comic book.

Batman is awesome but I prefer the original american idol anyday.
I try to get hold of his older comics, pre Death and Return, it just gets awkward after his death.

I used to watch Batman: The Animated Series religiously, and I realy wish it would go back on the air.

This may be a tad off topic, but the Batman movies piss me off in a similar way. I understand that they have had 3 different actors take on the role....and what 3 different directors? - but for the love of God STOP changing the "flashback" scene of Bruce Wayne's parents death!!!! It is soooo different in every movie....and YES the actor who plays Bruce has changed, but WHY did the kid in the flashback have to? I mean COME ON - I hate it when they make sequels that have little to do with the movies preceeding them. Were we just supposed to have FORGOTTEN that we had seen that flashback in the previous movies? GRRRRRRRRR >< Stick to the same damned death and tormented jaded childhood memory for the freaking love of god...I am going to be so pissed if there is ANOTHER version of the Wayne's death in this new one


Oh - and that "Dreamcatcher" BS blew. ><

The reason they keep changing his background is because none of them actually follow the comic books. I mean...I love the Burton films but Joker didn't kill Brucies parents. Oh well...You can look foreward to them re-doing it again in Batman Begins Jender, but hopefully this time they do it right.
