Coming back after 3 yrs.. is it too late??

Hi Everyone! I know y'all probably get tired of seeing these "should I come back?" posts but I needs some help!

It's been a lil over 3 years since I deactivated my account, life got busier, didn't have time to play blah blah blah. After about 6 month I really started to miss the game (never would have thought I would miss those Sandy bag pipes ) but assumed I was SOL since it was over the 3 month period. So after missing the game (STILL!) after all these years I was elated to hear about XIV. After trying to dig up info I happend to end up on SE's site and saw the reactivation program and am really considering filling out an app.

Do you y'all think 3 years would put me too far out of the loop?

(The Treasure expansion had just came out a couple months before I stopped playing)

Should I just wait and be a n00b w/ everyone in the next game?

PS: Does anyone know if the SpiritzUnleashed LS is still around? lol

Holy crap! HI TASHY!!!

Well, I can say from personal experience that coming back from an extended break is a tad daunting with all the changes that have happened, but really it's still really fun. You can get the hang of he new content with a little experience and a little web research.

As for XIV, well overall the population seems excited for it. It is at least a year til release though, if not longer, so even if you did switch you'd have a good while to enjoy the new content. And SE is still developing mini-expansions so there's lots to do.

Hope to see you in game! We had some great times. Even if you don't come back don't be a stranger on the boards!

We did have some GREAT times!! Anyone else we used to roll around with still playing? I see your LS is United, that still going well? My char has a pearlsack for that LS, well that is if DF didnt take it back after I gave Dristen like 25 pearls on my last day to piss him off XD!

I have to say I felt very welcome coming back. Lot's of our friends still play. Some have left, some have left and come back, but there's still plenty of friendly faces that I'm sure would be happy to see ya again!

The biggest issue for you atm might be rapture.
Now that it's coming out in the spring it's entirely possible you'd be better off getting that and playing with your lsmates on there since everyone would be equally nooby at the game and the beginning of an MMo before anyone knows wtf they're doing tends to be the best part.

Thanks everyone! I bought the new expansion and will be back up and running soon. Have to finish fighting my xbox to get it the game to work. I wish I didn't give away my HDD PS2! xbox = <too weak> lol

Hello Tasha!! Welcome back. Its never too late. SU is still here, we're more of a social LS now but we're still willing to help if you need it. I'm really glad to see some of my old friend coming back.
