Ungrateful dick(s), this is un-fucking-believable.

There are currently 6 broken composite fishing rods on Jueno AH for more than 10k, unbroken rods are going for 7-8k.

How big of a dick do you have to be to try to RAISE the price on a BROKEN rod when its already selling for more than you paid for the fucking thing? WE (the high level alchemists) ARE PAYING YOU TO BREAK FISHING RODS! And you have the nerve to try to make us pay you MORE.

Fuck you sir(s) or madam(s), fuck you. It will be a cold day in hell before I ever fix another composite rod, unless its my own or a close friend's. I hope other alchemists fixing them boycott the AH with me. Any fishermen out there who think I'm paying to fix something you broke can sit on that jagged broken pole and spin for all I care. t(-.-t)

As long as people will still buy them at that price, it's perfectly fair game. That's how supply and demand works.

This is exactly the sort of thing you have to do to get the price to go back down - refuse to buy them at that price, and convince as many others as you can to do it with you. If they don't sell, people will be forced to relist them at a lower price.

Cheers Eq on!!! You go big dog!!!!

lol i hate Comp. fishing rods myself, i didnt fix em though to skill up >> cause they were stupid priced then, and i hate making em from scratch, even when i make the materials myself.

i did Ouka Ranman to 84, and have been switching up Espadons and Comp. Rods to my 90s, going to pick up Mamushito's till 91 once my current gil saving project is over >>

Rods are harder to break now. To test this, try to break Composites in Qufim or on the ferry.

Harder to break = fewer in stock = less supply = higher price.

Besides being harder to break, the rods have grown seemingly less usefull, in that the different rods preform better/different in varying situations. The days of the 'Three Rod Tackle Box' are over.

Juast to give you an Idea:

I started fishing Very recently, and was told to get a composite rod and basically nothing else. I was then told to get a Carbon rod to start, for I could get away with aq Carbon rod and Worms when I just wanted to have fun and fish whatever bites.

I go ta little more serious about fishing and started using my Composite rod in places so that I didn't break my rod. After the most recent patch I couldn't catch anything in East Ronfaure at all, I had moved on to a composite at that point and it just wouldn't do enough 'Damage' to the fish. And fishing with my composite or Carbon rod was a lost cause for Moat Carp now as well...
Snagged a Hume rod for moats, and a Fast Water Rod for the Rivers. Now I fish exceptionally easy.

Point is there are rods now for every occasion:

Old way: 3 Rods: Mithran, Composite, Lu Shang's.

New System:
Ponds/Still Fresh Water: Stiff Wooden rods, like the Hume Rod.

Salt Water/Docks: Small Fish: Carbon Fiber. Larger Fish: Composite.

Rivvers/Streams: Fast Water Fishing rod.

And I will stop there...
Basic case and point, you are going to have a lot less breakage due to thier use being reduced.
