This also would be toward the 360 as well cause I'm curious if it could to (but from what I read about the way the hardrive's used it seems it couldn't). But.. here we go. I was wondering if it's possible to use computer games on the PS3 (360 as well though I stated again I don't think it could). Like, taking a computer game and installing it on the PS3. Just wondering if there is anyway or if it can already. Reason being, I wanna play my Gothic 3 bad and be nice if I could just use PS3 (or 360) to play it. Pretty sure Wii wouldn't have the storage space to :|
 
I'd doubt you could do it with the PS3, since the cell processor works vastly different than a normal computer CPU. The 360 works differently too, so I'm not sure if it'd be possible at all. It'd probably take some serious hacking to get it to work though.
 
Well, technically if you have Linux installed I guess you could, but it'd run like ass (edit: if it even runs at all).

Yeah, it'd work like console emulation. It's not designed to run on what you're trying to run, so if it was possible, don't expect grand results.

The Wii has USB ports so with the proper modifications, the Wii could use external HDDs.
 
ah, well I'm just wondering which systems might be able to play games of mine :P Like Gothic 3 XD I can play it on this comp but it's rather slow and bad... hehe
 
Yeah, I don't think you'd want to try Gothic 3 on the Wii. >.>

I don't think you'd have much better luck on the other systems compared to your home PC. Go bug JoWood to release it on a console. =)
 
Hehe, I know.. bah... I'll prolly just get comp upgrades then :P I so <3 the Gothic series to. Far more than Elder Scrolls (though I like Elder Scrolls too).
 
I couldn't play Gothic for very long because it was way too buggy. The game constantly crashed and when it didn't do that, there would be a bug where nothing would attack me. =/
 
Lol, I never had that kinda problem XD the worst I saw were that they forgot to.. hmm.. put the text into English. The voices were english but text was in German.
