Okay so I am usually really careful in what I do on the internet, and I have caught something on my computer. I run with Kaspersky and it has detected a Trojan program Trojan-downloader.Win32.Zlob.nju

Anyone know what this might mean? I tried looking this up on www.viruslist.com and the website does not know of this. My dad is super freaky about viruses and will probably kill me when he frinds out lol. Help! :O

Actually I forgot to say, some friends of mine have been getting random MSN messages from me saying: "<my hotmail address here> Hey check out the pics from that crazy party!! they are nutz LOL! go here to see" the message then gives a URL with part of the person who is recieving this message. I don't want to give any email addresses here so I will give and example.

Person who is recieving this message has an email address of [email protected]
The URL will be emmahud.party4pics.info

Anyone else ever see this before? It's really scaring me ><

Yeh lots. Normally from idiots however. (the MSN spam that is, it's normally the less intelligent ones that send me the message...)

It's not a particularly dangerous virus, but it's still a virus in either case, you know how to contact me Beegster ^^

You're infected with malware, in this case malware that causes spam.

Someone gets infected, the malware sends that message to everyone on his friends list.

Someone on his friend list gets infected, his friend list gets IMed, etc, etc..

Not dangerous but no reason to keep it around.

Look around for a program called Spy-bot search & destroy, it should get it off

Sadly Zlob is a self reinstalling trojan/malware, it roots itslef in your registries and is very annoygn to get rid of.

If you look on google, you may find gudies that take you stpe by step to find all the registry keys it has made for itself, but it is very dangerous process, sicne deleting the wrong keys can end up screwing up your computer worse than it was beforehand.

In other words, it's a hydra.

I had that MSN malware once before, when i get home I'll look up my bookmarks to see if i can retrieve the solution for you. I can't even remember what it was called, and I'm not sure if i still have it bookmarked.

In any case, you should do a google search on what your PC is letting you know, you'll come across some information on what your dealing with and how to take it out.

Begen, there's an entire sub-forum dedicated to computer help :P

someone should move this :O

Thanks a lot guys, at least I know it's not potentially dangerous. :)

Begen, if you start having some really shitty trouble. Let me know.

I can show up on your doorstep with a few tools to help you clean up your machine. And this way I'll actually be able to meet the taru in person. Hell I'd probably just WALK to your place.
