Well I had a desire to post this cause of Vang's recent triumphant appearance on our lil forum and Narell's post about the Flameboard.
Conflict is a necesary part of our life. Without it, life would be incredibly boring. You have seen it, the commercials where everyone is smiling or something and life looks all happy. Well the truth of it is that neither you nor I would enjoy that life. You might think that you do, but you dont. We laugh at other's misfortunes. You might not laugh at the truly horrible stuff, because there are times when things go too far. War is a horrible truth of our world, but it has existed since man became man, and will exist until man is no longer.
All you people who get angry about a bad player, or a person who is an asshole, I don't understand. There are certain times when a good flaming is in order...Yoshindur's actions which Narell brought up for one. That is a bit too far. But many people complain over tiny little things that mean nothing. Today I had a party with a Rdm (no names as it doesnt matter) who I didnt like. S/he had a horrible attitude, told me how to play, didnt listen, etc. Am I gonna flame her? Nope. Cause I have had 3 good parties in the last two days. I know every party is not gonna be awesome and have dealt with it. I think if every party WAS awesome, then I would be rather bored with the game at this point. Those usually hard to find awesome parties make me come back. If I were Vang, I wouldnt try and push all the sucky people out because if I did, being good would mean much less. That is his own choice though.
I'm not so sure if this post makes complete sense to any who might read it. It does to me so I hope it makes some modicum of sense to you. Conflict is a part of our daily lives. There are people who cause problems on the board here. In all honesty though, I value their presence. Sounds tacky, I know, but its the truth. I had someone on my blacklist, but I quickly decided to take him off. I wanted to hear what he would say. I figured whatever he had to say would be funny. Keep that in mind when you tell people to get out of the game cause they make you mad, or piss you off.
